You don’t have to go far to amazing world class eateries. The buses are too congested & traffic bad. There’s not much right on the doorstep though for dining out - you have to travel a mile really, for anything good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How busy and unreliable the buses are to get into work. If there was a safe cycle route along old Kent Road, I’d take it - but there isn’t

What is the best feature of your home:

It’s very spacious (that’s because it’s a disabled unit) and has parking

Although it’s a central area I find transport difficult sometimes because there are no train stations/ underground near by so need to rely on bus all the time! Getting to work on feet sometimes takes the same token as taking the bus due to traffic and crowded buses. I also find there’s a lack of nice restaurants, bars and especially coffee shops, there’s no place where I could take my laptop and work from in the area. Would love to have a closer gym also, the near at one is in Bermondsey +20min walk. The area feels quite safe though, which is a plus. Also hard to find parking spaces when having visitors.

All the items described above, mainly a lack of local options and parking.

What is the best feature of your home:

New building and insulated walls meaning the flat is warm most of the time.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Can get everything I need within walking distance (post office, dentist, shops etc) but limited in terms of restaurants/bars/cafes so have to venture further afield for social activities (ie Peckham, Deptford or Bermondsey) Fantastic location for bus routes but limited other transport options and no parking for cars. Not noticed any anti social behaviour or noise despite being close to a nightclub but traffic is noisy and crossing the street is difficult. What the location lacks in terms of local amenities it makes up for in price and size.

The balcony is next to useless. It's way too noise on Old Kent Road and very polluted so never sit there. And can't grow plants there as gets too hot.

What is the best feature of your home:

Size - good sized bedrooms, reasonable bathrooms and closet all really useful.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Transport links fine by bus but nowhere near a tube station. Nowhere near enough parking on or around the development. Some bars and restaurants around but very few of decent quality. The noise from the road is constant and unbearable at times and the builder’s yard out the back makes noise 24/7. There’s quite a bit of antisocial behaviour but it could be worse and the development does feel safe as we have good security doors and gates.

The noise from the road is just too much. A constant underlying stress

What is the best feature of your home:

I’ve spent considerable care and attention on interior design here, and although it’s been a challenge attaching anything to the plasterboard walls, I love what I’ve done with the place.
