Fantastic new flat in great location

Overall we are extremely happy with the flat, the building is new and the council has been very accommodating relocating us here and assisting during the move.
We are close to a main road for good links but conveniently tucked away from the noise.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Nothing really negative about the area, the family was relocated into this council flat from another building close by, together with many other neighbours so everyone already knows each other around here

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were fully assisted while relocating so had all the information we needed from the beginning of the process

What is the best feature of your home:

All furniture and appliances were new, we really like everything

Tiny flat, in safe area

Review Date Sep 2019

I’m happy with the building although the flat could be a bit bigger.
We live in a quiet cul de sac and i feel safe here, having a small child.
The only thing bothering us are the church goers who can be often very loud.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The neighbourhood is quiet except for the church located opposite the building, which is very noisy during their long gatherings, almost every day and well into the night

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

As mentioned above I would have preferred to know there were going to be large congregations of people outside regularly

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The size of the flat is not well optimised, i have a bigger balcony than the living room

Lovely new building but noisy adjacent church

Review Date Sep 2019

I have loved my flat from the very beginning, having moved from an old towerblock of flats in the same area.
The neighbours are lovely and i feel safe at all times.
The council have been very responsive and supporting

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The neighbourhood would be really enjoyable if it wasn’t for the people gathering for church opposite our development at all hours of the day and evening

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There isn’t much parking around us

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building Management has always responded promptly to our queries

Great value for money but can be noisy

The design is good, I wish the rooms were slightly bigger but that’s down to personal preference. The parking is not the best for me personally but some have their own parking space which is ideal to them. In regards to the kitchen, there could be more space to place electronics such as kettles and microwaves. Easy bike access which is good for me personally too.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Excellent shop links, excellent bus links into elephant and castle and London Bridge. Nice selection of restaurants around but you have to travel a bit for some quality night life. The Noise from the local church and the main road would be the only complaints I would have about the area as of right now.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing that would of put off from choosing to live here at all.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

It would be great if the rooms were slightly larger in size. Rooms were much bigger in my previous property in comparison to this.

Convenient, safe and brand new building

We have enjoyed living here very much so far, the neighbours are friendly and there hasn’t been any security issues.
The flat the council has given us is brand new and fully functioning. We have a car park at the back but not enough spaces so it’s always a rush to get the few available before others.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to central london, in a safe area away from the main road. Unfortunately not enough parking around us

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i had known about the parking limitations

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Nothing to complain about with regards to the flat, very happy with it

Lovely flat in nice area

I like living in this building, it’s modern and practically designed. I haven’t had any issues so far in terms of appliances breaking or interruption of services, heating stopping working or bad insulation.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is well connected, quiet and safe. The only issue is there isn’t much parking

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing, the building was only completed one year ago so very new. But more parking would be useful..

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Again nothing to report against the flat, everything has worked since day one

Safe residential area with decent property.

The build quality is very nice. The property has only been up and running for a year and I’ve had no problems as of yet. The design could be better because I’m not a massive fan of the layout of the bathroom and kitchen. Windows don’t open too far wide so that wasn’t ideal during the summer period.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is very well connected, there are plenty of restaurants to eat during the evening. Transport links are great as Elephant & Castle is just 15 mins away. The only dislike is the smells that develop sometimes in the area isn’t great. Other then that, the area seems quite safe and I haven’t heard of any community problems recently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking situation could be a lot better, it’s kind of like a free for all for parking as there aren’t enough spaces for all residents here.

Excellent new development

Review Date May 2020

Good facilities – bike store and post boxes downstairs are a plus. Open plan kitchen and living room is great, and bedrooms are a decent size. Two balconies are an absolute joy in the spring and summer months. No parking for cars is problematic and the road itself to get to the property (Sylvan Grove) is very narrow and access can be problematic on weekends.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to lots of shops – Lidl and Iceland Warehouse are on the doorstep and Asda and Aldi are little more than a 5-10 minute walk away. Excellent bus services to take you into central London, supplemented by Queen’s Road rail station which is a 10-15 minute walk away and provides Overground and Rail services into central London and the South East. Can be a little noisy on weekends as there are numerous churches on and around Sylvan Grove.
