The design and layout is nice in a col-d-sac and a pond seperates the two. Property management is non existent. The pond is a shambles, looks a state when you come in. Rubbish outside the flats attracts rats. Wish the living room was at the front of house and kitchen at the back because access through the living room to the garden especially in winter is dreadfully messy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The design of the estate is nice, the area quiet. There is not enough shops and no local doctors or health care facility. Parking for visitors is ridiculous, too many complaints of parking on kerbs when other house owners use the visitor spaces, which are located outside their property, for their own needs and own visitors. The entrance and exit to the estate is sometimes blocked by vehicles parked up on the pavements blocking your view to exit right. Station road is horrendous, I’ve heard they want their own permit parking in their private car park and to have a gate put up, when most of them don’t even use the spaces in the car park and block the main road up. If they are to not use the spaces then the car park should be for our visitors. Anti social behaviour has ruined the estate with some older children thinking they own the estate and acting like bullies. Rubbish around the flats makes it look like a dump. Too many 12 year old parents screaming and shouting at each other in the street whether day or night is becoming embarrassing and annoying. A lot of tenancy fraud going on, overcrowding which adds to the noise. The open planned front garden is a ridiculous idea because other people don’t give a damn and trample all over it including letting dogs of the lead and letting them do their business outside your front door. Attitude of the village is awful all they do is moan.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes but they take a year to fix things. The managers have disappeared.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there are no nice neighbours. Didn’t think it would be so stuck up.

    Perfect place to live

My flat is lovely and spacious. I haven't even had to put heating on the whole 4 years I've been here. It gets so much sunlight that my flat is warm year round. I even have to open windows in winter! Issues in the building seem to get resolved quickly. Although the bike storage seems to be run down and getting worse.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect location; close to shops, a park and the train station. A short walk away from lots of lovely places to eat and I can be down at the seafront in a 20 minute walk.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes and very quickly. Any sub contractors who have come in have been very friendly also.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just email and ask if you have a question. Hyde always respond quickly and clearly communicate expectations to you.

    Great place to live

The buildings are very well built and are aesthetically pleasing. There is a lovely park that has been built at the end of the estate which will be great for woodland dog walks and for children to play safely nearby. There is going to be a really good sporting facility on-site too

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The centre of Chichester is only a 25 minute walk away, which saves time trying to park and travel and is really easy.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How long the development of the entire estate would take

What is the best feature of your home:

Open plan living and dining area makes it a sleek design

    Good location

Our apartment is a good location and being a new build is great for energy efficiency. It’s a good design and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we have had our door entry system break numerous times which is constantly being repaired but then shortly breaks. We had a leak/damp issue which is now resolved however took 6 months to be sorted. A parking scheme is due to come into place but I am disappointed to read that this will be limited number of visitors per quarter as will be a scratch card system.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Shoreham is a lovely town to live in. Had great public transport options to access Brighton, Worthing and even london. The 700 bus is a 2 min walk and the station is a 10 min walk. There is due to be a parking scheme soon on the development so unable to comment on that as yet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As above. Repairs take a long time and have had repeat visits for the same issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The high council tax is definitely a negative to living here as is the fact parking restrictions are coming into place. The location is great.

The design of the house is good, some things could have been better eg: kitchen cupboards could have been bigger in the 3beds. More sockets in dining room. And a outside socket would have been great. Would have liked glass in front door. As its very dark

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area in which I live is well situated I'm close to shops, stations & bus routes which are all in walking distance.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

So far it has been good. I've had all my repairs done.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only thing is the lack of wall sockets in the dining room. And outside socket.
