I'm very impressed with the really high professional , yet friendly approach to the property management. The property is kept very clean and safe 24/7, fit for very decent living. I am very pleased to have made the choice to live here. Frankly, I haven't noticed nor experience a negative here, so far.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Swiftly, professionally, and most friendly. The team's here are very approachable. This has always been a critical point for me, wherever I reside. This team ticks all of my boxes right. I'm truly impressed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Good. At the time of viewing the apartment, I became more impressed than I was before the viewing. Taking a decision to stay here was instant.

Great life at Soho Yard

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of Soho Yard is excellent. It is within walking distance of shops like Tesco, but also local restaurants and coffee shops from Kelham Island and the city centre. Right next to Soho Yard, there are 2 big private car parks and you can also park on some streets. Soho Yard’s area is excellent, with the right amount of social behaviour, but without being too loud or disruptive. The area is safe, friendly, diverse, and very welcoming.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Soho Yard is great at communicating with tenants. Whenever I’ve had any issues/concerns/questions, I’ve been able to go down to reception to address them and sort it out. They also have a 24/7 phone number you can text if you need anything! In my experience, I’ve needed a couple of repairs in my apartment and the maintenance has been outstanding; providing immediate service on the same day. 10/10

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Soho Yard promotes social events within the community. Every month they have different events ranging from having food trucks outside to hosting a Lush bath-bomb making session. I think it’s great they provide different activities and events for tenants to socialise and get more involved in the community! Soho Yard is all about living but also well-being!

Superb maintenance team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very close to Kelham Island for bars, restaurants, coffee. Short walk into the city centre. Always parking availability. Bins never smell due to good air conditioning. No anti-social behaviour since I moved in 15th September.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t specifically raised anything myself. So unable to comment directly on this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Additional costs: £40 for hot water only (through homebox and this is non negotiable). £100 per month for parking permit but not the one in a secure garage.

Absolutely love it. High security. Amazing staff. Maintenance is always on site and the guy is so good. He always comes whenever we ask for him, super nice and the job is always properly done.

It’s a very convenient location, everything is walkable in terms of city centre and great transport links if you want to go beyond.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly. We haven’t had any issues but wanted some things changing around and they were very quick and efficient. The maintenance man, Terry, is genuinely the loveliest person and is very good at his job, and ensures everything is done to a high standard and as efficiently as possible. We wanted some things hanging etc and he made sure they were done very well, not just a quick job to get over and done, he treated it like he was doing his own home and took pride in his work. He was also so lovely to our cat.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the hot water is charged separately to the normal water bill but other than that they were transparent about everything. There is also a trolley at reception that is very useful for bringing things up or down!
