Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Some good aspects of living here is the short distance to shops like Tesco and Sainsbury’s. And the distance between the house and the bus station is very short less than a half mile
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Took them just two days to fix a problem I had complained to them about
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
These young lads who are not killing each other on the streets

The good things are the area is very qiuet, clean & safe. The bad things are if you don’t drive, you will have to walk a fair distance to get to a decent supermarket. Yes there is a corner shop but it doesn’t t always cater for your needs
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not the greatest! There is always delays when dealing with my queries, sometimes I even have to explain myself all over again
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the houses wouldn’t be close to any supermarkets

In regards to financial hardship, we always aim to help our residents in the best way we can by offering payment plans to ease periods of times where residents may be suffering financially. The location of the development is ideal, falling under Sandwell council but only a short distance from Birmingham city centre, masses of amenities and transport links close by. Only downfall would be some of the neighbouring properties to the development aren’t the most appealing to the eye
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Jobs get looked at but can take up to 3 years to be resolved.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The rental increase amounts and that no two resisidents with the same home pay the same amount rent

We're concerned by your statement that some maintenance fixes may take up to 3 years - all our maintenance tasks are attributed to a close out timeframe with non-urgent jobs at 30 days. Please could you contact Team Leader Ashley at Ashley.Jones@simplelifehomes.co.uk to give us some more information about any jobs you feel are outstanding so we can investigate this for you. We appreciate that no two properties will be on the same rent - all homes are valued differently based on their number of bedroom, the outlook and size of their garden. Rental increases are made around the year anniversary date of a resident's move in date, so each tenancy will be renewed and rent reviewed at different times of the year. All rent reviews are in line local market rents at the time of review. We hope this helps to explain.

Yes - SL have always responded promptly to issues.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
one convenient store in the area, would be bad for someone who didn’t drive. Transport links are ok, parking is horrific, no issues with antisocial behaviour or traffic noise.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
communication is slow, management lack compassion and understanding… no of them have ever seemed bothered about their tenants
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Poor storage in the property couldn’t view the property before renting as the development was new
