Developed by Greenland Group, Ram Quarter is a new residential and retail destination. Designed by EPR Architects, the site comprises six impressive buildings housing 338 apartments in the heart of Wandsworth. Heritage and history have been preserved in the site’s listed building – an old brewery complex now converted to luxurious loft-style apartments.  Brewing continues at the site on a small scale maintaining the legacy of Britain’s oldest brewery. The banks of the River Wandle, which runs through the site, have been opened to the public again for the first time in centuries.  Central London is accessible in less than 15 minutes via Wandsworth Town station, only 400 metres from the site. A fantastic new development combining modern architecture and listed heritage

Wandsworth has always been a desirable location, and the addition of the now completed Ram Quarter development by Greenland has further enhanced the area, incorporating an exciting new retail and residential destination.

The architect of Ram Quarter, EPR Architects, has seamlessly brought together modern architecture and the development’s listed heritage past; Coopers’ Lofts sits comfortably amongst the new-build apartments. Many apartments offer private roof gardens and all residents benefit from a 24 hour concierge.

Although a residential-led development, the recent commercial openings have really come into their own. Backyard Cinema is a huge draw and it’s very exciting that Sambrook’s Brewery will open at Ram Quarter within the next few months.

Transport connections are good – I can reach Ram Quarter from my office in Oxford Circus within 25 minutes. Also on-site parking is available for purchase.

It is always fantastic to see developments realise their potential and Ram Quarter is certainly demonstrating that large mixed-use developments, designed well, with a carefully curated retail and leisure offering, really make a new-build apartment a home.

Old York Road is a perfect slice of London. Ram Quarter has connected Old York Road to the High Street and has reopened the Wandle for all residents and visitors.

A unique new development in Wandsworth revitalising a historic brewery

Ram Quarter has revistalised a previously inaccessible part of Wandsworth Town that was sat within the confines of the one way system and left unoccupied since the closure of the Young’s Brewery. It is fantastic to see the first phase now complete, opening up the public realm and routes through for both residents and the wider community. The refurbishment of the historic listed brewery building provides some amazing spaces within the apartments to include double height ceilings and the retention of historic elements where they could be preserved.

The opening up of the River Wandle provides a tranquil space away from the busy Wandsworth High Street and once the retail and restaurant operators open up alongside the river and the central boulevard this will bring extra life to the development. The ground floor commercial spaces are set to provide a variety of occupiers appealing to both residents within the development and the local Wandsworth population. It is great to see The Backyard Cinema now open and to hear the announcment that Sambrook’s Brewery will be moving to Ram Quarter to continue the brewing heritage.

What I love about Ram Quarter is the mix of new build architecture combined with the listed building refurbishment. This is different to so many other new build developments which can at times feel soulless. It is fantastic to see so many residents now moved in and enjoying life at Ram Quarter.

Having personally lived in Wandsworth for 10 years I was delighted to hear about Ram Quarter and other developments aiding the revitalisation of the town centre. Southside Shopping Centre has undergone vast transformation in recent years, but having pedestrianised public realm alongside the River Wandle benefitting from futher shops, restaurants and amenities is a great asset for the local community. Wandsworth is a popular residential location within South West London for young professionals and families alike. There is a great sense of community and you are well located for access to Central London or escaping the city.

Would recommend.

Verified Resident

I have lived here for a few months now, and I have really enjoyed the experience.

The development feels modern whilst also retaining the character of the old Youngs Brewery, which is rare considering the glass eyesores that cover most of London’s skyline.

Great place to live – I would definitely recommend

Verified Resident

Love the area, couldn’t be cleaner and more nicely done up with access to countless shops, transport links etc around. Walking around feels safe and friendly and the inside of the building is extremely modern and stylish and the flats feel nice and spacious and not as though they have crammed as many in as possible.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There are usually always people smoking weed and drinking alcohol near the back of the area near the bridge entrance which isn’t pleasant to be around especially during the night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that Freeview was not already wired into the flat and that the hobs were induction before getting there and having to buy all new pans.

Great place to live – I would definitely recommend

Verified Resident

I recently moved into a property at The Ram Quarter, I love living here, it’s close to transport links; 6 minute walk to the over-ground, lots of bus stops close by. It’s always very quiet, the building seems sound proof and well insulated. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped with aircon and an induction hob.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The only thing I can think that we don’t love about the area is the fact that there are sometimes people drinking by the river. We also do hear some noise for The Kings Arm’s which is opposite our property, but it’s never bothered us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would let someone know about all the convenience shops that are close by.

Would recommend to anyone

I have lived here a little over a month and I’m very satisfied with the Ram quarter. With potentially more shops and eateries being added, I would definitely recommend to people and families looking to move to Wandsworth.

The location is perfect. Communication with the concierge is exceptional.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More updates on the commercial areas of Ram quarter, such as what is being added to the development.

Great development, love the location and convenience

Verified Resident

Nicely designed development with 24 hour concierge and good open spaces. I love living in the area with its convenience of supermarkets, shops and general amenities nearby. The people I’ve met are very friendly and happy to help, and supported by the Residents WhatsApp group.
The concierge makes an effort to remember your name and on hand to help where they can. There’s starting to be some new developments around the area (e.g. Backyard Cinema across from the River Wandle) which will improve things to do here.
There’s great bus links to various South London parts, and the train to Wandsworth is very convenient, although it can get very packed during commuter hours.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The service charge has varied hugely since what was marketed when purchased off plan. It makes it very difficult to budget for the high costs and as it’s paid twice a year, it’s a large sum of money to pay all at once.

Great place to live, well connected and with the river 5′ away

Verified Resident

I have been living here for over a year and I am very happy with the both the flat and the area. High ceilings, solid doors and state of the art appliances. The concierge team is also second to none !

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is a common area near the high street where junkies like to spend time that should be monitored.

Amazing new development

Verified Resident

The Ram Quarter is an amazing new development offering anything you could wish for: a concierge, a parking, a loading bay, a lift and an amazing team always ready to help residents.

I just can’t wait for shops and cafes to open in September.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the shops, the huge Sainsbury’s and the local restaurants – I am no sure about transportation as taking the SW railway trains is more expensive for our commuting.
