It’s a great location and easy to walk into the city or Cardiff Bay. Close to the train etc area is lively with Depot and the city nearby

Quickly and professionally, had very few issues to raise but happy with outcomes

The information provided to me before move in was comprehensive, flats are nice and well located

Living at Platform in Cardiff is amazing, with a good range of shops (coop and Sainsbury’s in walking distance), supermarkets (Asda only a 10 minute drive), restaurants (all of Cardiff at your doorstep) and bars (spoons is 10 min walk away) within easy reach. There are also some pleasant open spaces nearby. Public transport links are good with Cardiff central being visible, making it easy to get around Cardiff if you don’t have a car. Being in a central location means there can be some traffic noise, particularly at busy times. Parking can be slightly annoying but nothing major. Overall, it’s a convenient place to live, especially for people who enjoy city living and having amenities close by.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had an issue when I moved in where the washing machine was out of order, they fixed it the next day. I also had the unfortunate issue of moving to Platform losing a lot of my property in a breakup, and they were kind enough to help support me in a sofa and bed frame until I was able to provide my own.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I’d known before moving in is just how enjoyable and convenient living at Platform Cardiff can be. The modern design, lovely facilities and great location make everyday life really comfortable. My advice to new neighbours would be to make the most of the communal spaces and everything the building has to offer. It’s a lovely place to call home, and the combination of comfort, convenience and a welcoming atmosphere makes settling in much easier. The terrace is amazing, I wasn’t able to be shown this on the viewing as it was raining heavily, but please go to that. On the other side, the gym facilities aren’t the highest spec, they’re great for causal gym goers or cardio fanatics, but if you’re able to lift quite a bit more, you do have to go somewhere else.

Great location, very central. 5 minute walk from train station, town centre with bars, restaurants and shops. 5 minute drive from Cardiff Bay. Pet friendly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management have always been very friendly and helpful when any problems or questions are raised and tend to go out of their way to do what they can to help.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Apartments can get hot in the summer so some sort of AC unit or fan is required.

Great location, modern flats and 10 minutes walk from city center with a co-op right on our door step. Ten out of ten

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes immediately but depending on available resources to address problems and fix then straightaway or come back next day with new parts

All good since day 1 though due to lack of availability I wish we gotten a flat with a southern view

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

One of the good aspects of living in this area is the convenience. The apartment is very close to the Co-op and the train station, which makes shopping and travelling very easy. Public transport links are accessible and useful for daily commuting. However, security in the area needs significant improvement. Earlier this year, a homeless man approached me and my sister while we were waiting for an Uber outside the building and attempted to pull his pants down in front of us. We ran back into the building and asked the security guard for help, but he only looked outside and told us to stay inside without taking any further action. This made us feel unsafe and unsupported. I think better security measures and responses are needed to help residents feel safer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has been very patient, helpful, and professional whenever I have raised any issues or concerns. They usually respond quickly to my needs and problems, and communication has generally been clear and efficient. I appreciate that they are approachable and willing to assist residents when needed, which has made dealing with day-to-day matters much easier.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before moving in, I wish I had known more about the situation around the area, especially at night. While the location is very convenient and close to shops and transport links, there can occasionally be situations outside the building that make residents feel uncomfortable. I would also advise new neighbours to stay aware of their surroundings when waiting outside late in the evening. On the positive side, the building management team is responsive and helpful, which makes resolving issues much easier. I would also recommend taking advantage of the nearby transport links and local shops, as they are one of the biggest benefits of living here.
