Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in my local area is generally pleasant. There’s a good range of local shops and supermarkets within walking distance, and a few nice restaurants and cafés nearby. Public transport is convenient, with regular buses and nearby train connections, although services can be limited late at night. The area has several open green spaces that are great for walking and relaxing. My street is usually quiet with decent parking availability, though it can get busy at weekends. Bin collections are reliable, and there’s little anti-social behaviour or traffic noise overall.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has generally been responsive and helpful, addressing issues in a reasonable time, though some minor delays have occurred on a few occasions.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known that parking spaces can fill up quickly in the evenings, especially on weekends. It would also have been helpful to know how waste collection and recycling are organised. Overall, it’s a great place to live once you get used to the routines and local transport options.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area has very limited local amenities. There are no proper shops, restaurants, bars, or green spaces within easy walking distance, meaning you have to travel elsewhere for most basic needs. Public transport options are poor and unreliable, with infrequent services, making it inconvenient if you don’t have a car. The street itself is generally quiet, but there are occasional issues with anti-social behaviour in the surrounding area, particularly in the evenings. Traffic noise can be an issue at times, and parking availability is inconsistent. Bin collections are usually carried out as scheduled. Overall, while the flats themselves are modern and comfortable, the lack of nearby facilities and weak transport links make the area inconvenient for day-to-day living.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has generally responded well to issues raised. Maintenance requests are acknowledged promptly, staff are professional, and problems are usually resolved within a reasonable timeframe.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how quiet and self-contained the development feels once you’re inside, compared to the surrounding area. It’s also useful to be aware that having a car or planning journeys in advance makes day-to-day life easier, as nearby amenities and transport options are limited. I’d also recommend getting familiar with the building’s access systems and management contact points early on, as that makes settling in much smoother.

Comfortable apartments with areas for improvement

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Really good communication from staff in regards to updates and ongoings. Facilities are in good condition. Parking is too expensive and alternatives need to be used which can be inconvenient. Walls can be thin and this can lead to excessive noise from neighbours. The bin rooms can get very messy and bin collection needs to be more frequent. The parcel room is not fit for purpose and can lead to parcels being lost or misplaced. The apartments are well sound proofed from outside noise.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I raised issues relating to hearing thumping/bashing above me from neighbours on multiple occasions when trying to sleep but nothing done about it and still persists.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That there was a lack of storage space and if my neighbours had children or not.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We really like the location of Platform in Sheffield. Biggest plus is being only 10 min walk from the train station. Biggest negative is parking. There isn’t anywhere to park which is affordable near by. Expect to pay £100+ a month for parking in city centre somewhere.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Super simple to raise an issue and always dealt with quickly and effectively.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Parking is difficult. Not easy to find adequate and safe parking.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in my area has both positive and negative aspects. There are several local shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, offering a decent variety and good quality food options. Public transport is generally convenient, with regular bus services and nearby train connections. However, parking can sometimes be difficult, especially in the evenings, and traffic noise can be noticeable during rush hours. Bin collections are regular and reliable, but occasionally bins are left out for too long by some neighbours. Overall, it’s a safe and friendly area with good access to services, though a bit busy at times.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, the building management has responded promptly and professionally to any issues I’ve raised, ensuring problems are resolved in a reasonable time.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known that the area can get a bit busy during rush hours, which makes it slightly noisier than expected. However, the neighbourhood is very friendly, and the community feels safe and welcoming. The local shops and green spaces nearby are a big plus, and everything you need is within walking distance. I’d recommend new residents to explore the local cafés and parks — they really add to the charm of living here.
