Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I believe that this is the best area to live in if you are looking to live in central Sheffield! You are within a 10 minute walk of many different retail shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, activities, open spaces and transport - including Sheffield train station. I travel frequently out of the city, and having the train station close by was a must for me, so being able to get to the train station in 10 minutes has been really helpful. As a returning Sheffield native, after moving away for 10 years, it has been a great introduction back into Sheffield and seeing how the centre has grown so much, I have been able to really appreciate all of the available amenities within such a short distance. I don't believe there are any negative issues of living in this area! Living this close to a set of main roads, a large roundabout and a football stadium, you would expect more noise - however, the sound proofing of the windows makes these things a non-issue!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Exceptionally! Paul and Polly have always been straight on the case when I've ever had any issues.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think I received all valuable information that I required. The only thing I would have liked to prepare for is the heat during summer, but as my apartment was brand new and no one had lived there before, this wouldn't have been possible.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Apartment building is based directly in the city centre with easy access to lots of shops and entertainment facilities. As we are based just on the outside of town centre the street itself is quite quiet but still feel safe and the apartment building feels safe and secure.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had a big issue with our fridge freezer, but the team was helpful giving us access to a nearby fridge until the problem was resolved
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think for people that are new to the city it is useful to understand just how many different facilities from cafés and restaurants to entertainment venues there are in the local area, as the building is in a very convenient location.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Platform is located in a great location within sheffield city centre. We have a brook running alongside which is a great connection to nature. Sheffield market, entertainment, bars, shopping and cafes, restaurants are literally on your door step. Parking isnt great but the transport links are close by. I had a bike stolen from the bike storage area which is unfortunate. However living here does feel safe.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team have been great in dealing with any issues or problems raised. Always friendly and on hand. Great team
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Parking is an issue as it can be expensive. Go for a apartment higher up the building to get great views. There is some noise at night from surrounding music venues but they quiet down after 11pm. It is a city so to be expected

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There are some strong positives in the area, but also a few things that make daily life a bit of a challenge. Good: It is close to the city centre and well connected. You can get anywhere quickly, and the riverside route is handy if you enjoy walking. Bad: Parking is difficult. The attitude of some tenants can be quite entitled, and even though the building is pet friendly, many people act rudely towards dog owners and their dogs. That can make shared spaces feel tense at times. The location sits right beside the motorway. The keep clear area for pedestrians is usually ignored, and the crossing at the bottom of the hill is often blocked by cars. Drivers in the area behave in an unsafe and at times hostile way towards pedestrians, splashing people with puddles caused by poor drainage. Walking there can feel unsafe. The riverside walkway has become more like a fast lane for Deliveroo drivers and cyclists. They pass too close to pedestrians and animals, which can provoke reactions and could easily cause accidents. It makes what should be a peaceful riverside walk quite stressful.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Wee Amanda, Skye, Felicia, Duncan, James and Tommy have all been exceptional. Every time I have raised an issue, they have responded quickly and with real care. They go above and beyond for tenants and their work is the reason the building feels as positive as it does. They form a strong team that could shape this development into a proper community if they had the resources and backing to do so. They deserve recognition
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The building itself shows signs of having been designed by someone who has never actually lived in Scotland, never mind Glasgow. The electronic keys can be glitchy. The doors are slow, awkward in high winds and sometimes unreliable. The area around the development is also getting busier because of the student accommodation going up nearby. There is a lot of litter behind the building that leads directly to the pedestrian crossings, which adds to the sense of mess in the immediate surroundings. Even with those issues, the internal community inside Platform is strong because of the staff and events. The building has real potential. The people working here make an enormous difference. At the same time, the local infrastructure, the behaviour of some tenants and the conditions around the building all need attention. Addressing those issues would lift the whole experience and support the community that the staff work so hard to maintain.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Town centre is very close by as well as a co-op right underneath the building. There is also a halal food grocery store up the road and just past that Cardiff Bay. Its a 5-10 minute walk to town and 25 minute walk to the Bay. Both areas have lots of food, shopping and entertainment. The train station is just before town and only a 5 minute walk. The building has parking all be it expensive in my opinion, the street is normally busy as there is a college. Generally the public are good just sometimes there can be a lot of litter around.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have responded quite quickly normally and if I ever need to speak to the maintenance team they’re always there.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I got all the information well provided to myself prior to moving in.
