A lovely place to live with fantastic amenities and a genuinely caring team. I’ve now been living at Platform for around 5 months, and I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far. It’s a lovely building, and the apartments are a good size, offering a comfortable living environment. The corridors and communal spaces are always clean and well-maintained, which makes a real difference to the overall resident experience. The development has multiple outdoor terrace spaces overlooking both sides of the city, offering stunning views. The terraces are kept tidy and accessible, while the communal amenity spaces are finished to a high standard, with a thoughtful and attractive design. Polly and Saba have always been incredibly helpful, friendly and approachable. Jess was also previously a great help, and although I believe she has since moved on, I wanted to acknowledge how helpful she was during her time here. Trevor from maintenance is also always incredibly helpful. While there can occasionally be delays caused by suppliers and contractors, I’ve found that the team and management consistently put 100% into resolving issues as quickly as possible. Their commitment to supporting residents and finding solutions is genuinely appreciated. Overall, Platform offers a comfortable home, excellent communal facilities and a dedicated team who work hard to provide a positive resident experience. I’m very happy living here and would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately I haven’t had a very good experience with the building so far. Absolutely no comment on the friendliness of the team, however friendliness isn’t everything. Me and my partner were at first unable to move in on the date we had on our lease and were paying rent from due to our apartment not being ready, this was not communicated to us and we only found out after I called the office asking when I could pick up our keys. To their credit they did provide us with an apartment to stay in, as well as a one time discount on rent, but this was only after we were given the keys to and walked up to an apartment that had Dog poo and wee stains (and smells) all over, and had clearly not been cleaned to a professional standard. Ever since moving in I have not really felt a real community environment at all, no one really says hi to each other in the corridors, it feels a lot more like a hotel than an apartment building that people live in. The amenity spaces are lovely but again have a real hotel feel so, apart from the gym, I never really see a lot of people gathering there or using them. For an apartment building in Sheffield there’s nothing about it that makes me feel like the design or vibe matches Sheffield in any way whatsoever, the building could easily be put in Manchester or London or any other UK city. Theres no uniqueness. The maintenance seems to be lacking as well, tickets go completely unanswered and aren’t acknowledged, access points to the building have been out of order for weeks and for an apartment building in the centre of Sheffield it seems like a really odd choice to not implement 24/7 security, especially hearing from past residents that there have been issues with vandalism in the past. All in all, although me and my partner have settled in to our apartment, we are still experiencing issues caused by the lack of attention to detail before moving in with issues like dog hair covering the inside of the sofa cushions, one dining chair being broken and unusable and a hole in the laminate that has been pointed out to staff multiple times. The staff, as mentioned above, are genuinely very friendly and as helpful as they can be, I simply think that the overall management has put a real dampener over our whole experience so far, especially given the amount of rent that we are paying. I wouldn’t be able to recommend Platform as it is now to any potential residents, however with effort and dedication I can definitely see room for improvement.

Starting with the management of the building, I think that Polly is an incredible General Manager and is always happy to help with a smile! As I have moved from another city, after first viewing the property in-person, Polly went above and beyond to share tours of all the available properties that I was interested in remotely and was more than happy to answer any questions I had after confirming my apartment. On move-in day, Kudzai was incredibly helpful with ensuring I had everything I needed and showed me to my new apartment. He has also since been nothing but helpful when I've had any other queries and is always willing to help. I also think Saba is a great asset to the management team as well, as she is always caring and considerate and always brightens up my day when I see her throughout the building. Paul is an excellent maintenance manager, and nothing will stop him from helping if any technical or property issues arise - he will always ensure a quick turnaround to prevent any ongoing issues. As a whole, I think the building has great facilities! As someone that works from home, being able to work in other areas of the building has been really helpful. I also am a big user of the gym and love to sit outside on the terraces in the sunshine. These facilities really enable you to get everything you need on your doorstep. My only issue with the development is that as I live in a south-east facing apartment, in the lead up to and throughout summer, the sun can often heat my apartment to above 30 degrees until late into the evening. This has sometimes made it inhabitable, even after using the recommended techniques to keep it cool - so I believe that this may have been a design flaw. I also want to emphasise that although this is an issue for myself, I also foster cats year-round, and these temperatures have been very dangerous for their health and wellbeing.

The apartment building is designed in a stylish modern format with a clean and premium aesthetic. The staff in the building are all very friendly, supportive and engaging whatever your needs or challenges might be. This makes a huge difference compared to living under a private landlord. Facilities in the apartment building are generally well maintained and regularly cleaned. I would recommend all of the existing staff including Polly, Jessica, Kudzai and Saba.

Brookpiont platform is a great place for me to live. The apartment is well laid out and I have incredible views over the city. The buildings common areas are well designed and is like a high end hotel. All the staff are excellent, friendly and professional. Issues are dealt with quickly. The social events are well organised and offer a great opportunity to meet your neighbours and create a community.
