I recently had the pleasure of buying im Plas Ty Draw new build development in Cardiff, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with what I have experienced so far. The location is fantastic, offering a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty. The design of the development is modern and sleek, with thoughtful attention to detail that enhances both the appearance and functionality of the spaces.
The property management/support is also highly efficient, with regular maintenance and upkeep to ensure that the development remains in pristine condition. This support comes instantly when there are any issues with the property.
Overall, I would highly recommend Plas Ty Draw to anyone looking for a new build development in Cardiff.

The surrounding area was peaceful and quiet, providing a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. What’s more, there were numerous shops within easy reach, offering a wide variety of options. However, there an not many restaurants in the area.

The add on costs to upgrade certain features. We wanted certain appliances such as an induction hob and half tiled walls in the kitchen – however these were expensive to add on.
What is the best feature of your home:
The kitchen space! And how energy efficient it is.
Living at Plas Ty Draw
The development has a wide variety of house types and flats available. The show homes are a really great way to see what you will be getting and the sales team are really helpful in answering any queries.
The communication and feedback right from reserving to handing over keys and even after care is really great.
Our site manager resolved any issues that came up during the build.

Great location. ALDI, Lidl and Waitrose close by and ASDA short drive away. Not many restaurants really close but more and more restaurants and takeaways deliver to this area now.
There are nearby parks and fields.
Bus stops are still waiting to be built there is a bus lane ready for buses.
Generally a really nice area to live in with a lot of friendly neighbours.

Ask for the plans and what will be made around your house and further phases so that you are aware of things such as bus stops and schools.
What is the best feature of your home:
The best feature about our home is the layout. It means the rooms are a decent size and also the ceilings are high.
Good but needs something done about the school parking and a path to the local pub
The building and designs are good. The shops are close by but the road to the local pub is closed. A walk back in the dark in the winter is through muddy fields and it is dangerous. The school parking is terrible and parents park on the double yellows and the bus lane and causes cars to drive head on to each other

The train station is quite far away. Good bus access. Parking is good. The school picking up and drop off times, the parking and traffic is terrible.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew how long it would take for the path to the local pub to be made
What is the best feature of your home:
Very good high ceilings and the houses aren’t cramped together
Excellent construction
Sustainable architecture with a proper balance of aesthetics, accessibility, cost-effectiveness, safety and security superior indoor air quality that is tailored to the needs of the location. It’s unlikely that you will need to worry about repairs for a long because newly constructed properties are constructed in accordance with the most recent standards and requirements.

Our master bedroom roof is vibrating.
Some cracks are appearing.
What is the best feature of your home:
Modern design that fulfils all necessary requirements.
Good walking areas for families, but very slow progress of the field
Good walking areas for families, but very slow progress of the field. The design of the houses are nice but space is minimal and expanding is recommended. The buildings are nicely built and construction of other houses don’t affect residents in their homes.

Difficulties with deliveries, sign posts of house numbers for newer houses would be more easier for drivers to find houses. Generally quiet area but overhead helicopters are noisy and frequent.

The developer to tell us that it would have more beneficial to install equipment through them rather than using other people.
What is the best feature of your home:
The best feature of home are good sizes of master bedroom and lounge.

A development half way finished
The overall design and welcome to the development is of heritage collection houses with plenty of space so that it doesn’t feel crowded. The further into the development the more contemporary the housing, like apartments and town houses. The choice of materials used in their construction is different enough to keep things interesting.

So far there aren’t any facilities such as shops restaurants or bars in the area although these are planned. There is a good amount of open space around for walking/general enjoyment/playing sports. The nearest train station is a 30 minute walk away leaving the only public transport option as existing bus services.

How dusty it would be during the development of the rest of the site.
What is the best feature of your home:
Lovely big garden. Great insulation. High ceilings. Good layout.
Early development
Very good design incorporating nature and preservation, looking forward to facilities being open to use and connecting different developers together. Building management unable to comment as no external management as of yet, however heavy traffic with diggers, etc and multiple potholes – not well maintained
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Poor parking availability as double yellow lines on spine road. Cannot comment on facilities as too early in development, no building has started on them

You will still be living in a building site!!!!!!!
What is the best feature of your home:
Character with high ceilings, and good layout and size of rooms. Flows well
Great location
The design of the development is very aesthetically pleasing at the start with nice landscaping, a lovely footpath / walk way that will eventually lead to playing fields. However as you move into the site the feel does slightly change with the high rise townhouses and flats which is incongruent with surrounding housing. However overall would say this is one of the best Redrow sites in South Wales.

Great area to live in however busy building traffic and noise. There is plenty of parking for residents with their own drives but people choose to park on the kerbside.

The estate during weekends are extremely muddy due to the ongoing building works so be prepared with wellies and constant floor cleaning!
What is the best feature of your home:
The plan of the house is great. The high ceilings are great feature with lots of storage.
Great location, needs more facilities!
Design is lovely. The local community and residents are very friendly. Would be nice if they could complete the path up to the local pub, The Black Griffin to make it more accessible. There are limited facilities on the development but this could change – would be nice to keep the residents updated.

There’s no retail premises on the development itself. The design and overall community are lovely. There is a school on the site and around school pick up and drop off times the development is a nightmare. You cannot drive through it, people park on double yellows, directly outside houses and turn around in the middle of the road.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
How long it would take to complete the development and how quickly they would complete the pathway to the local pub.
What is the best feature of your home:
Built to an excellent standard. Limited problems which is uncommon when buying a new build.
