Amazing building design and location, but empty roof terrace!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My local area is fantastically located in a great part of London, however there is no tube in close proximity so we rely on the over ground - which also has its pros and cons as the trains are much nicer but not as regular and coming home from Central London at night means I have to go via Waterloo. There is a dump which our building overlooks which is a shame, but there is a Sainsburys within a 3 minute walk which is really handy!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have not been able to contact them as we have not been given the contact details for the property management company. We would like to discuss having furniture on the roof terrace as this was promised to us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The price of the ground rent and property management. Energy suppliers available to us.

The development is modern with a great viewing platform and private residents park.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is lovely to live in - you are near to the river and have lots of parks and green space around. Whilst there is lack of a tube station there is the train station nearby and district line a ten minute walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes - a few items were daily / defective but replaced promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Help to buy was applicable to all floors regardless of what the sales team tell you and there are always more apartments available than they let on.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location with convenient access to train and tube. It feels safe and within walking distance to South Side shopping centre

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes very impressive. I’ve had 3 issues raised and they were addressed very quickly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would recommend checking the eta’s to destinations yourself to confirm how far away they are. Thankfully Taylor Wimpey gave accurate ETA’s but worth checking

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is a very safe area with little traffic and a nice park nearby. Unfortunately there is only one cafe, two pubs and a Sainsbury's Local nearby. Considering the number of families there should be more services: a pharmacy, a post office, a laundrette, hairdressers, beauticians, bakeries to meet everyone's needs. Good transport links: buses, train and Uber boat within easy reach.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They take far too long to reply to emails and sometimes they are not conclusive

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise of the trains that pass close by, the poor quality of the paints and appliances.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area itself is amazing. Local amenities and transport links are close, with Wandsworth Town station a 10 minute walk and a number of Santander cycle stations in the area. Wandsworth park and the river Thames are also a stones throw away. Once the final development under construction is finished it'll be a really nice area. There isn't any readily available parking (I don't drive so not an issue for me), bin collection had some teething issues but seems to be sorted now, and thus far there hasn't been too much anti-social behaviour although a few bikes have been stolen from our bike store. There's no traffic noise but we live near a train line so hear the trains go by when the windows are open.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Taylor Wimpey were good however they've now handed over to Lee Baron. Lee Baron have been slow to respond to building problems and we've therefore had to chase them quite a lot. There's also seemingly a lack of clear handover on what Taylor Wimpey are responsible for and what is now a Lee Baron issue

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think I'd get a handy man to go round and check everything that's been installed, to make sure it's all okay. Our microwave made a rattling sound when we first used it and turns out it had a large dent in the roof from installation. My shower thermostat broke a week in and needed changing. The dishwasher is now leaking so we're having to get fixed and the floor changed, we had neighbours with similar issues. Taylor Wimpey were really good with fixing issues that have come up, but what worries me is the issues that are yet to come up that will no longer be covered by them if they break in a months time
