The design of the rooms are exactly what you want, nice clean professional finish to all rooms. The building and it’s surrounding area is very clean and tidy which is down to its great management team taking care of the buildings. The property management is great, we have had Selina help us every step of the way with the move, she’s been informative, attentive and goes above and beyond the ensure the move in is a smooth one.

The location is perfect! Lots of local shops, bars and restaurants you can get to very easily. A very short walk into the city centre and close to train stations.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We knew everything we needed to know prior to moving in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, they have been very attentive to any issues that have risen.
Great modern apartments with good facilities
The development is well designed and mostly quiet and peaceful. I haven’t been able to use the co-working space or take part in any events yet but these were a big draw for us. We’ve also had a great experience with all the staff who have been very helpful and have sorted any issues very quickly.

We moved into our apartment about a month ago and we love it so far. The location is good: about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, 10 minutes to a large retail park and with a handy co op and pub on site. It’s nice to be near the canal and Peel Park nearby is lovely too.
The apartment itself is spacious, well equipped and stylish and we love that we can bring our pets and make it our own. So far, all the appliances and furniture seem to be great quality.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think almost everything was provided to us before we moved in which was great.
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
It would be nice if there was more green space but it seems like that will be a feature of the development going forward.
Happy Resident
The design spec is really high especially compared to other properties nearby. I can’t wait until we’re allowed to have friends and family come by (due to lockdown restrictions) as I feel really proud to be in a position whereby I can live in such a lovely place.

The development is situated just outside of the city centre which is perfect as you have everything nearby without being right in the middle of the busy centre. There’s a COOP situated on the development which is super handy for getting milk in the morning! There’s also a 7 Brothers bar which is great when you want a quiet drink after your tea and they’re dog friendly which is fantastic! I happen to live on the main road side (ground floor) and even though it’s a fairly busy road you don’t really hear the traffic which helps when I’m working night shifts!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think it would have been helpful to be clear that there would be 2 separate bills for electricity and heating water. Other than that I can’t think of anything else!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, shortly after we moved in we needed the batteries in our fire alarms changing. We had a very quick response and the batteries were changed on the same day!
Great location, really quiet, and beautiful, modern apartment
Super modern buildings, really quiet, great insulation (I’ve barely heard a peep from any neighbours since I moved in six months ago), and dog-friendly – what more could you ask for? Not only that, but the neighbourhood feels really safe, the letting team (GetLiving) have been brilliant to work with, and I’m just about to settle into a longer contract.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Love how close it is to the city centre! Only a 10 minute walk to Spinningfields, which is brilliant for pubs and restaurants. Also there’s a brilliant brewhouse on-site called Seven Brothers, and a Co-op with all your daily requirements in it.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Honestly nothing! I have to write something in here but I honestly can’t think of anything!
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
Honestly can’t think of much! Only thing would be more parking spaces?
Lacking in customer service
The development sits in a nice quiet area of the city, with good access to local amenities. The properties have the wow factor on initial viewing, however after closer inspection the level of overall build quality could be improved – a lot of the finishes feel very cheap, as does the furniture.
Parking is available onsite and is secure but expensive – £145 per month is actually quite for the area in comparison to similar developments nearby.
The customer service is generally very poor. Long wait times when calling the office and often rude staff members. When things are ok it’s all good but when you encounter an issue the management aren’t very accommodating.

Great connections into the city, shops are pretty close too.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The quality of service provided especially at this price point
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not very accommodating and often very accusatory. When issues arise the overall handling of issues raised can be improved and of a more sensitive nature.
Quality place to live
I like the modern design of the development and the furniture is all nice! I’ve never used the club house but it’s a nice touch. Love the restaurant/ bar and co-op on site very convenient! The management team are lovely and seem very laid back and chill which I like.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
I like how it’s got everything you need really – supermarkets, gym, coffee shop, takeaways plus it is only a short walk to town!!
What I dislike is that it’s not really got the best views due to a lot of new apartments getting built
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Maybe choose a flat with a better view / higher up
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Honestly not had any issues so far so can’t really comment on this
A lovely hoke
So far the management of the building has been great, very safe. The staff are lovely and I feel very secure in my apartment. The design is very fresh and modern, yet cosy. I feel it is easy to settle in and feel at home quite quickly. The mattress is so comfy and showers are amazing.

I love the area and onsite shop, very useful. The views are wonderful and very peaceful.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The mattress and sofa is so comfy!!! The showers and baths are lovely.
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
Better parking facilities, as there is a shortage of space for parking it becomes very difficult for guests who drive to stay

Great home for people and pets
I’ve been here two months, and so far have been very happy with New Maker Yards. The flats are large and well-designed, the management is responsive, and the development has a friendly atmosphere. And it’s great to be able to have a pet–it’s very hard to find rentals that allow cats and dogs.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
I like having the pub and supermarket within the development, and the shopping plaza nearby, but it would be great if a few more independent business, especially cafes/restaurants, opened in the area.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the ovens are REALLY HOT! you need to watch carefully to avoid burning your food.
What is the best feature of your home:
That tenants are allowed to have pets, without even having to pay an extra deposit for them.
Excellent development in area that is rapidly improving
Well designed buildings, flats, and green spaces. Build is very solid, especially compared to other large Manchester/Salford developments. Property management is friendly and extremely helpful, and very responsive. Most flat appliances and materials are of very good quality, especially flooring, windows, bathrooms, kitchen counter. Ample storage within the flats. Communal activities programme for development is a nice touch, though has been cancelled due to lockdown until recently.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Close to Manchester City Centre and Salford Quays, large grocery (Sainsbury), 2 Co-ops, and lots of public transport nearby. Will be even better when more shops and restaurants open close by (we need a cafe) but this is still a new-ish area. Some good places on Chapel St (Porta), plus 7brothers very close by. Near to Peel Park, which is very improved these days.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
When the footbridge connecting this area to the city centre behind the Science + Industry Museum opens (next spring?) it will be a much, much shorter walk to the centre.
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
A concierge desk to accept parcels. But that wouldn’t really work in this layout.
Lovely apartment living a stone’s throw from the city
New Maker Yards is a lovely, modern development – I love the enclosed but open shared green spaces where people can walk their dogs or sit in the sun. The terrace outside my flat is an amazing addition and makes my flat a 10/10. The quality of the furnishings and decoration in my apartment is great. It didn’t take much to make it feel homey. It also feels bigger than others in this price range/area and things like storage have been thoughtfully included. The relationship managers are all lovely and you’re made to feel really well looked after.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
New Maker Yards is in a great location with a big supermarket and gym basically on your doorstep. It’s incredibly walkable and you can get to bars, restaurants and coffee shops in under 20 mins on foot.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That there are bin shoots in the courtyard. They’re super handy for dropping smaller bin bags through.
What is the best feature of your home:
The terrace outside adds so much extra space, but inside it would be the sofa – super big and comfy and a much better quality than I’ve had in previous apartments – or the dishwasher. First time having one and now couldn’t live without!
Stylish apartment with substance
The development we are living in is very new and well styled. We have access to a lovely communal space with free tea and coffee. The main selling point to us was that we are allowed pets. In fact the whole development is very pet focused; they have bowls and jars of dog treats in the communal space! There are also plenty of dog waste bins. Our building is managed by We Let Properties and so far we have been treated excellently by all their staff.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The area is more of an industrial location than a social one. It is next to the retail park on Regent Road which is handy for shopping, a gym and fast food. It’s a 20 – 30 minute walk into the city centre though and there’s plenty of everything there.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Across the road they are working on another development, when we came to view they must have been on a break as it sounded very quiet. As I write this review I am almost deafened by them! They’re only working for another 5 months apparently though.
What is the best feature of your home:
The fact that we are allowed to have pets and that we have a terrace (private outdoor space) to let our dog out in.
