Great apartment and good aesthetics, the building is kept very clean and a new parcel safe place has been installed to provide extra security. Building maintenance is very quick at fixing any problems. The design of the building is very welcoming with a lovely outdoor space leading to the apartment.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great area, close to amenities such as sainsburys, jd gyms, Costa coffee, co op is just down the road a long with a nice beer house

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly, I had a problem with the transition from my kitchen to the bathroom and was fixed within hours.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

They provided a lot of information and I had a thorough look around the site so can’t think of anything I wish I had known before

Perfect and close to the city

The building and property management is really good. They’re always on top of things, keeping in touch and contact at a speedy response which is reassuring. The building design along with canals views etc. makes it a great place to live. They’re always friendly and easy to talk to.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There a coffee shop, bar and co-op on site which is a great convenience as well as parking. Location to public transport is ok, with a 10-15 min walk to a train/tram stop. Sometimes there’s quite a bit of noice late night/early morning at the weekends but as expected

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they’ve responded within a day or even on the day itself

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d had known the location in terms of distance to trains and tram stops as well as the noise of developments close by

Love living here

Design is lovely, gives a sense of a gated community even though it’s so close to the city centre. Building management are super friendly, helpful and don’t mind you popping in to the office for quick questions which is nice. The get living app is really easy to use to access documents and pay rent etc. Facilities wise, the working space is big and really cosy to work from. The building management also share a lot of community events which is perfect for getting to know neighbours!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

New makers yard is a short walk away from the city centre and is close to loads of amazing bars and shops. There’s also a great coffee shop, mini supermarket and pub on the development which are all great. In terms of transport you can walk easily into town and catch a tram or bus. There isn’t much parking availability unless you rent but usually the development is quiet and windows suppress a lot of background noise.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any request I’ve put in has been dealt with speed and friendly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get living do a lot of events and community groups around the development that aren’t obvious from a viewing. Also some flats are air bnbs so be aware and ask about your possible neighbours if you can.

Great apartments to live in a great area

Yusuf A (Tenant)

The building and apartments here are very modern and minimalistic despite that they still give off a homely feel and allow you the freedom to decorate as you wish. The balcony feels very secure and spacious and the kitchen appliances are modern and sleek

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area itself in MiddleWood Locks is beautiful and peaceful with lots of greenery and nature, it could do with more shops but it has a coffee shop, bar and connivence store which is enough to suit needs. It is also round the corner from a retail park which is useful!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they responded to a problem we had about our toilet leaking

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish that I had known about the referral scheme you offer for getting people to move

An exceptionally well-run development that feels like home

New Maker Yards is by far the best place I've lived in my 20-plus years in the Manchester area. The flats are well designed to make the most of the space, and are attractively furnished. I love having both a co-working space and a "club room" in which residents can hold small social events. The standard of cleaning and maintenance of the buildings is very high, and I really appreciate having a fully staffed management office that's open 6 days a week and is staffed by friendly, helpful people. I've lived her for for years and have no plans to ldeave!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development itself is great; it's well-maintained and efficiently run. It's really good to have a small supermarket, a cafe, and a pub/restaurant on the premises. The neighbourhood is quiet, clean, and generally safe, but it would be even better if (a) there was a bus service on Oldfield Road and (b) more of the other new developments included retail and hospitality spaces.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Problems are handled quickly and efficiently, and it's easy to reach someone who can help

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The residents are generally friendly and responsible
