Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is excellent. It's within a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations, and many local shops such as the big Sainsburys, tesco express, barbers, pharmacy, opticians, many nearby banks etc.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Indeed. When we moved in there was issues with the hot water and central heating not working well. However, this was resolved within a short period so we appreciate that a lot.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If you aren't paying for the car parking (I personally am not as I don't drive), it can be difficult for visitors to come see you if they need to park. They will most likely need to use the car parks by the sainsburys, or by redhill train station whilst visiting.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I have been living at Kooky for just over 2 months. I love the location - 2 minutes to the train station, cinema for a living room , shops and restaurants right there. Sainsbury’s is just steps away..

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Great - prompt and efficient service from the team.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

My flat faces the main road, so there is some traffic noise. I do have to wear ear plugs to sleep. The bed is very firm - getting my own mattress topper did the trick to ensure better nights’ sleep.

Manager response

Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you’re enjoying the communal spaces, including the gym and co-working area, and that the reception team have been helpful and responsive. It’s also great to know the cleanliness of the development is being noticed and appreciated. Your comments mean a lot to the team. Thank you for taking the time to share them, and we’re delighted you’re enjoying living here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this area is very convenient, with a good range of local shops, cafés, and restaurants all within walking distance. There are also pleasant open spaces nearby for walks and relaxation. Transport links are excellent, with regular bus services and easy access to main routes, making commuting straightforward. Parking can be a little limited at times, but bin collections are reliable and the street generally feels safe and well maintained, with minimal noise or anti-social behaviour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has been excellent in responding to any issues raised. Derrick and Charlie are always approachable, professional, and quick to act, ensuring problems are resolved efficiently. Their support and clear communication have made living here a very positive experience.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing worth knowing in advance is that parking can be a bit challenging, especially at busy times. The building entrance is also marked with double yellow lines, which makes it difficult to stop briefly if you need to pick up or drop off someone. It’s manageable once you’re aware of it, but useful information for new neighbours to plan ahead.

Manager response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience Chetan and Tanu. We’re really pleased to hear that your home at Kooky feels more than just a place to stay. Creating apartments that feel comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed is something we place a lot of importance on, so it’s great to know the layout, interiors, and natural light are making a positive impression.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great, very close to the station and M25. Shops near by are very convenient but lacks in restaurant / bars near by. Parking is a very big issue for me and the fact Kooky are asking for £150 per car to park is a ridiculous, very over priced and very inconvenient for a couple with a new child. Needs to be competitive with the local area and included in the total price not separate.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very good. Again would mention that the window cleaning could be better.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is an issue. Would recommend being competitive or included in total price.

Manager response

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the design of the building and your overall experience in the development. We appreciate your comments regarding the window cleaning and parking, and we will ensure this feedback is shared with the relevant teams for review. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
