Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

MODA Hove Central is close to many supermarkets, walking distance to Waitrose, Lidl, Tesco, co-op and other little Asian food stores. It's also close to easy return points for Amazon if you purchase off amazon a lot. You can very easily get buses, trains and Uber which are all literally right there. There is a handy pet store next to Lidl and TK Max so you can easily walk to get various household items and pet items, which is incredibly handy when you don't have a car. Across the road from Lidl is Hove park, great for walks and park for kids. It's about a mile from the beach and a quick uber to Brighton central. It is such a convenient location! There is visitor parking here too, but it is a bit limited, probably parking is the only thing that can be a bit difficult if you don't rent an allocated park, but the side streets close by actually do have free parking that my friend used one time. All round super convenient location. And it is quiet at night, neighbors seem to be very respectful and friendly. The concierge staff are fantastic and always friendly and available to help 24/7.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven't had any big problems, but the small things I have needed have always been dealt with very quickly, friendly and communicative.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I cannot really think of anything that I wish I would have known before moving in, everything has been pretty well covered. I believe there is a WhatsApp group for the tenants, that I have not tried, it would probably be good.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great - 10 minutes from Hove station and a good amount of restaurants/bars, as well as Hove Park. The neighborhood is quiet and more residential, with easy access to buses/trains into the main areas.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance requests are easy to submit and the team quick to respond.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We didn’t realise our building directly overlooks the train tracks and is extremely loud when the windows are open! We quickly got used to it but I imagine it’d be off putting to others; we rented sight unseen though, with a video walkthrough, so couldn’t have known and really isn’t a problem now.

We already lived in Hove so knew the local area already. We stayed at Moda while our house was being renovated. Its a great place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Our hot tap stopped working and this was fixed swiftly. We had another issue which was quickly sorted, the staff were friendly and kind.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just do the admin properly. Read what you are sent. We nearly didn't have the rent in place in time due to error and nearly missed our move date so be organised!

Lots of local shops restaurants bus stops close by not lots of parking that’s free but there is paid parking all around

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fast and do whatever they can to help any issues. If it’s not fixed first time they offer alternatives. For example if hot water is the issue they let you use another apartments shower etc

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The lack of availability of visitor parking and how windy it gets

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Honestly, I doubt I want homeownership anymore considering the level of ease Moda offers. The only two niggles I have are - Probably needs a better system for parcels. Maybe a bigger space and someone focused on the job rather than another task for the lovely people at the reception. - I'd love for our intercom in block 1 to be working as I keep missing grocery/takeaway deliveries due to the fact I have a four year old son whom I can't leave alone upstairs to open the door. It's hard logistically to not be able to allow people in the building via intercom and having to go downstairs to manually let them in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly, kindly. I haven't had any major issues but the team communicates very well

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That living in a home could feel so easy and relaxing when a lot of the tenant admin is handled by the landlord eg bills
