Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Rented here for 16 months whilst trying to sell my property and we had so many issues. Lots of anti-social behaviour and issues with the car park alarm going off sometimes for over bad hour in the middle of the night. The garage door to the car park entrance often broke meaning you were locked in or out. On a number of occasions this meant I was late for work. The parking is a NIGHTMARE. You can tickets even when parking in your own spaces if you forget to display your permit. The permits have the start of your postcode so depending on your job you might not necessarily want that on display in your vehicle permanently. Even when you appeal to PCM and explain you are a resident they do not care and proceed with the fine. There is only one visitor space in the whole of the Darlington House car park which is ridiculous. Some people just go in your spot and I had a neighbour who returned from holiday to find the estate agents/management company had simply reallocated his car parking space and given it to a new tenant.

How awful the management company was and the massive issues with parking.

What is the best feature of your home:

Being close to the city centre was good and the actual design of the flat was perfect for us.

The view is good near riverside. Bad things are noise of the train near us. Also theft around the living area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Take times for them to reply and investigate. Will have to depend with other company as well

Management company is a big problem. Should check the management company score on trustpilot before you move in a new place.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to city centre and close to train station. Can access them easily. Bad things are other people from the public keep parking in our living area but there is no control with that. This is due to them know the working time of the controller from council. Also theft around the living area because they see this area as a rich area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Normally will reply the email but takes lots of time for them to come and fix.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how bad is the management company (Gateway) is before I move in. So I will never choose to buy here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Being close to River Nene, we have access to a nice waterfront while being close to city centre at the same time. In general, the area is quite new with 2 cafes within walking distance. However, we have experienced some anti-social behaviour in our gardens and also safety concerns where several cars has broken into.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There have a team of customer service to address issues. But take minimal effort to rectify.

The issue with underground parking where it gets flooded regularly.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The design, location, general vibe of this development is great. It’s modern living done well. The management company are slow and unresponsive, I don’t deal with them direct as I’m a private tenant but the issues faced by owners are many, constant and varied. I wouldn’t live here if I had to deal with them and living here as a tenant had made me decide not to buy here. There’s no visitor parking, food isn’t recycled, barges are extortionate, security is poor, private gardens are open to general public which kids abuse, car parks flood regularly, post is stolen from post boxes and the management company do nothing in terms of security or improving the post boxes or installing cameras, 100s of bikes have been stolen as somehow thieves are getting into secure garages and stealing bikes - the security cameras in that area are usually off! Locks on secure doors break regularly, I don’t know how that can happen so easily, maybe people are forcing the doors but there should be security cameras on secure doors - the clue’s in the name.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t raised any so can’t comment though observations demonstrate it’s a lengthy process

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That security on the development is very poor and not to trust leaving bikes in the garage (even though the garage is secured) and not to leave valuables in cars overnight as somehow they get broken into also
