Ewing House Review

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local facilities are excellent. There’s a Budgens conveniently located on the ground floor and a Nisa just across the street, both open late, which makes picking up essentials incredibly easy. The high street is also easily accessible, about a 10min walk. The building is also only a short walk from the Elizabeth Line station, which is ideal for commuters. I can’t comment on parking as I don’t drive, but in terms of safety and the local environment, I’ve experienced no issues with antisocial behaviour either within the building or in the surrounding area

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven't had many maintenance issues, however the few that I have raised have been promptly attended to.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The 10% rent increase every year. The issues raised above i.e. having a mini fridge-freezer and not being able to open the windows any wider.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good Aspects: Well it’s proximity to the station and all the nearby shops and the fully furnished aspect of the house is top notch. Bad Aspects: It gets noisy sometimes on the weekends.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are quick to respond and whenever needed they work on the replacements and repairs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We should take the decision according to our needs and then think of moving in like the proximity to office, grocery shops etc!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are quite a few shops nearby if you just need a quick top-up shopping. The variety of restaurants and bars are good enough if you have friends coming to visit.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has an app that you can raise the issues via the app which is quite handy, rather sending emails. And it appears to me that the response time is a bit shorter than it used to be.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It'd be nice to have an event to get to know the neighbours as most of the time even if bumping into them, we'd just say hi, nothing really a deeper chat.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my area is quite pleasant overall. There’s a good mix of local shops, cafes, and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, and several parks and open spaces ideal for walks or relaxation. Public transport is fairly reliable, with regular bus and train connections, though traffic can be heavy during rush hours. Parking is generally manageable, but it can get tight on weekends. Bin collections are consistent, and the neighbourhood feels safe with very little anti-social behaviour. Overall, it’s a friendly and convenient place to live with a strong sense of community.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been very responsive and professional, addressing any issues promptly and keeping residents informed throughout the process.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about the peak-time parking situation, as it can get quite busy in the evenings. It would’ve also been helpful to know about local community events and resident groups earlier — they’re a great way to connect and settle in quickly.
