Great experience and great people

The building is exceptional. Always someone on site to help you with your queries. 24/7 security guards makes you feel safe. With the Bring it installation you never loose a parcel or risk someone stealing it as you know it is safe and stored for you. Community nights with wine and cheese makes it easier to socialize and meet new people.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very vibrant neighbourhood with lots of interesting places close by. Mercato is probably the main one along with Borough Market.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew it existed earlier so that I could have moved here earlier…

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes straight away. All issues resolved in timely manner

I personally really like the design of the interior in the flats. The staff working for getliving is very friendly. The communal garden is so convenient, especially for people with dogs. Getliving is a dog friendly company which os great.
One negative aspect is their parking, I don‘t understand why they do not rent out parking spots for people with a car. I would even pay for it, but they simply do not allow us to park our cars here, and it‘s difficult to find a safe place to park your car here.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is not the most beautiful, and a lot of crime happens here. However, Elephant and Castle is close to everything and public transport gets you to literally everywhere from here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i knew that you couldn‘t smoke on the balcony. But I quit smoking so all good now

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They usually reply very quickly to your enquiries/ emails.

Lovely flat in SE1

The building itself is clean, modern and stylish. I believe the flats have a good decor, colour theme of grey with yellow hints is also enjoyable and trendy. The rooms came funrnished with great options including circular table and chairs, sofa and single arm chair and some bedroom fixtures.

I appreciate the kitchen design and use of light in the flat, the stylish fixtures and built in fridge and oven compliment the building to no end. The flooring is very nice and hard wearing. The heating elements work well.

I like the balcony size and the light that comes into the appartment.
The bedrroms are not huge but well sized for my taste and have a large wardrobe which provides great storage.

The bathroom is really a beautiful classy unit, which is the best selling point of the flat. There have been no issues in mine for my time here, and the sturdiness of fixtures provides a quality experience all round.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Elephant castle is undergoing a transformation and thus basic items like rubbish bins and tree plantings are encouraging quality living in the area. The soon demolition of the shopping centre will again only add value to the nearby properties. I for see continued improvements. What is a problem is the busy new kent road with one way system making exiting the area by road difficult. The lack of car parking available in the building also meant that there is a personal transport limitation on tenants but can be overcome by the great public transport links availble at our doorstep.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Probably about the lack of car parking space – so if you own a car you cant leave it elsewhere

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

very fast, effective and made a difference. The relationship managers are available and easily contactable when needed to resolve an issue

We have a 1 bed flat in Raglan House and love the layout, design and style. Even though we have a one bed, we have plenty of storage/cupboard space which is great.

The property management are all really lovely and kind, all facilities are clean and easy to use.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We have lived in the flat for a month and absolutely love it. Everything is really close and walking distance which is great. I do however drive to work and the development doesn’t have parking so I have to pay an additional cost (my own fault). There are plenty of nice little place to eat at!
My only bad comment would be the noise from the sirens. Unfortunately as we are right above the roundabout, noise travels up and the sirens never stop.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management team have responded really quickly but we’ve not had an my problems or issues yet.

The apartments in Elephant Central are really nicely designed, really easy to put your own touch on things. If I have any queries or questions, the property management team are really easy to get in contact with. Lots of lovely dogs too!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Elephant & Castle is such a central area, it is so easy to walk up to Borough and London Bridge and the Southbank! Lots of supermarkets close by that are a quick cycle to which is great. Can be a bit noisy but you can’t hear it when the windows are shut.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The road can be quite loud

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always responded quickly to any queries I have had

Overall good – if you need peace and quiet tho, not the place for you

The facilities in the flat are great – everything is pretty much new and in good shape. Dealing with building management has its ups and downs. They can be very helpful and responsive at times, especially before moving in but when it comes to handling complaints which were mainly related to high noise levels, we had to chase several times and the responses were underwhelming.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great transport links, close to supermarkets, food markets, parks and cafes. Ideal location if you’re in need to reach different areas of London as you’re pretty much in the middle of it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I thought the place might be noisy, but it turned out far worse than I had imagined.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Noise levels are incredibly high. Better insulation and more involvement from management to help navigate this would be great.

Elephant and Castle review

The development is great, I like the layout of the buildings as well as the interiors. I really like the design of my apartment in particular. I like the fact that the building is managed by Get Living – they are very helpful and quick to respond to maintenance requests.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the central Zone 1 location and the multiple transport links. I also like how close supermarkets and gyms are. I dislike the shopping centre and think it needs to be renovated.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how many different transport links there are in close proximity – apart from the tube, there’s also the Thameslink and many bus routes.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been quick to respond to some maintenance issues I had in the apartment.

The facilities in the building are excellent and the coffee machine is a real bonus! Any issues that we have had have been dealt with quickly by the management team, who also went above and beyond to make moving in a stress-free experience

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Excellent transport links
Very close to shops

Zone 1 new-built with good transport connections

Verified Resident

Review Date Sep 2020

When I moved in 2 years ago, it was just opened for renting and no one lived here before. I really liked it! The rooms are spacious however the furniture isn’t really suitable for living in for the long term as there is not enough storage, also there is almost no flexibility from a landlord on bringing your own furniture to substitute theirs. Balconies are quite spacious but the flooring there is with some vigorous spacing and I don’t like it very much. The general design of communal spaces is very subtle and nice. I love the receptionists, always attentive and ready to help. It is very nice to have 24/7 security on site, make you feel safe. The property management is also very attentive however I do not like that they can access your apartment in your absence – this isn’t usually allowed nowhere and I always fight hard against it. However the most important thing for me here is that this development accepts pets which is rare in Zone 1

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s a very vibrant area with mixed nationalities all around and lots of young population living in. Mercato Metropolitano is the most popular place to go for a drink or inexpensive meal. A lot of new developments are in construction and the neighborhood is improving day by day

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Good connection to almost anywhere having London Bridge and Waterloo in a walking distance; Pets are welcome!

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Have an option of unfurnished or semi furnished apartment, have a storage, have a garage. Booking for the use of communal kitchen

Great development and services but room for improvement to maximise its potential

It’s great to live in a high standard building with 24h security and concierge. The flats are of a high quality standard and it’s easy to schedule maintenance through the residents app. It’s a shame that the basement parking space cannot be used for residents or their visitors. It’s currently empty with no cars which is a big waste in this zone of London.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is in full regeneration so there is always something new to explore

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there are constantly snails on the 3rd floor common terrace that come over onto residents terraces on the 3rd floor

What is the best feature of your home:

– Furnished of high quality standards
– Central heating regulated through the app
– Bringme boxes that don’t require our presence or physical signature of receipt

The houses are stunning the team that is here are so nice and always ready to help you with anything
Only downside to the property in my eyes is that it has no ac and Floor heating I was surprised about that as it is such a new development
But the heating that is in place works very well

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

This area is upcoming so many new places opening up
There is an electricity buzzing in the air
I can’t wait to see this area in a year or two
And located so close to Waterloo and the city

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That our electric bicycles would not fit in the bike store stands 😝

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They were very fast to solve any issue that I raised

I didn’t know electric bikes don’t fit in the store stands – I’ll see if it’s something we can take a look at.
