Spacious flat and good value for money

It is quite new and everything is nice. Small play park in the building premises . We own a 3 bedroom flat which is quite spacious. The only thing I dislike are that the windows are located right outside on the pavement and we can hear strangers talking on the street. There were loads of snags too. We share a private entrance with the house next door which is very convenient.

The area is convenient , close to the tube, many shops nearby. There is a nice cafe and a chinese restaurant on the main street . Nevertheless, I don’t feel that the area is safe.

The management could be quicker in sorting issues

The actual building is good, the management are not responsive, not communicating with us and charge us a lot of money. The design of the balcony is poor. The balcony ledge must be covered because as it is now it has become shelter for the pigeons who like to deposit on the balconies. The management could have sorted the issue ages ago.

Location next to the tube, few nice places around. There are a lot of pop up food places, the Wetlands and Walthamstow are nearby which present some lovely culture. The bouldering place is very nearby which also has a coffee shop.

The sizes of everything, because I bought it from looking at a floor plan.

Not the best new build, but good proximity to the tube station and the area has a lot of potential

Bath tubs are really shallow. No real woodfloors. Single oven. Perimeter of the development not well lit at night. Can be noisy due to proximity of student accomodation nearby. The units are all very well insulated and warm though

Close to tube stop and a lot of new developments are being built, however at the moment still lacking in shops, restaurant, and entertainment options.

The students in the nearby student accomodation can be a nuisance, bus service in general is not very good, so an issue if tube has problems

I have found that parking is an issue as it costs extra £10,000 to have a space. Also there is no guest parking which could be a problem for us. The general finish of the apartment and building is good however.

The climbing centre is very close by and the Co-op is just around the corner. There are a few coffee shops in the area however I feel that there isn’t a lot of nightlife. Also there isn’t a gym close by.

I don’t think the finishing was very good, the quality of the construction work has not been very good at all , there are some design issues as well and some health and safety risks during to the construction negligence . The format door doesn’t lock very well too.

I like the location. It is next to the tube. Walthamstow is also a nice place. Convenient location, but there is no gym anywhere .

I would think twice before moving in here. Poor construction work

It is quiet , brand new building . Quite good overall. The building management is responsive but a lot of parking issues has taken place recently. I own 1 park space located outside the building. Safe place in terms of construction work. The finishing of my flat is very good.

It is close to the tube station. It is quite safe to live in the area. However, the neighbourhood could be kept cleaner.

A lot for young professional people living inside, the building is well finished. Security is good. Two sets of doors which makes it safer. The flat is well designed , it is bright and there are spacious balconies.

I like the good transport links, the fact that it starts forming an identity, the Blackhorse workshop is nearby which is a community space for wood and metral work to be carried out. It is also right next to the Wetlands.

Contemporary homes in up-and-coming Walthamstow

Eclipse is a collection of new-build homes in East London’s emerging Walthamstow district. Close to lush Epping Forest and home to a colossal nature reserve, you could easily mistake the place for some rural pocket of England. But, in fact, it’s just 15 minutes from the centre of the capital.

Eclipse comprises of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, all offering spacious, open-plan living. Décor is fresh and modern – think crisp white walls and spotlighting, plus there’s the option to personalise the likes of kitchen furniture, flooring and lighting while phases are ongoing. Each home comes with a balcony and ample storage space.

The apartment blocks are separated by attractive landscaped grounds. There’s little else to speak of – no gym or residents’ lounge, for instance, but with so much close by it doesn’t seem to matter to residents. Sunday roasts in traditional boozers, brunch in hipster cafés and bike trails around peaceful Walthamstow Reservoirs – those are just a handful of examples of what’s on offer here. There’s also a fantastic art scene to explore, courtesy of the talented creatives multiplying here as Hackney living costs rise.

When it comes to getting around London, you’re well covered at Eclipse. The development is just a couple of minutes’ walk from Blackhorse Road station, which is serviced by both the Victoria line and the Overground, and offers direct connections to Euston, King’s Cross and Oxford Circus. Party animals will be pleased to learn the Victoria line runs 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, too.

Mixed bag

I have serious concerns about this development- residents have complained of the communal heating and hot water system breaking down constantly despite paying EON a handsome service charge to maintain the equipment. There is no CCTV installed in any of the communal areas which makes it an attractive place for parcel thieves and anti social behaviour. The managing agent Remus is embedded in the lease and they have really poor reviews online. Residents complaining of poor sound proofing between units.
Taylor wimpey have also yanked up the prices of the last few units by almost £30,000 compared to sold prices for similar units on the land registry.
Overall a very mixed bag.

A few steps away from Blackhorse Road tube station, there is a co op nearby.
Walthamstow wetlands which is a beautiful park moments away.
Still an inner city area so suffers from anti social behaviour and residents talk of people loitering at night and trying to steal bikes or parcels.
