Best building in Media City!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area around Duet is really convenient. MediaCity is only a short walk away and there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars and places to grab food nearby. The Quays are nice for walks. Transport is also very good – the tram stop in front of the building make it easy to get into Manchester city centre in around 15–20 minutes.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Whenever I’ve raised issues, the building management team has been responsive and helpful. Some things get resolved quickly, while others can take a bit longer depending on the type of problem, but communication is usually clear and they do try to keep residents updated.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I didn’t realise before moving in is how active the community is. There are regular resident events like Friday socials, comedy nights, weekly yoga and now even a run club. It’s actually a great way to meet neighbours and makes the building feel much more social than a typical apartment block. If you want to get involved, it’s easy to meet people and feel part of the community quite quickly.

Great Management, Community & Location

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Quays is a great place to live if you enjoy modern amenities, a safe feel, and excellent transport links - with a tram and bus stop right in front of the building. There's plenty to do - cafés, restaurants, The Lowry, MediaCityUK - and the waterfront walks are a big bonus. The area can feel a bit quieter or less community-focused than some other Manchesger neighbourhoods - but you can have that right in the building. Overall: convenient and lively enough - ideal for modern city living by the water.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Easy to raise tickets through the app or by speaking directly with the concierge. Very efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The car park spaces are limited for the number of flats in the building.

Superb place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area in itself is a great place to live as someone who works in the city centre. Quiet enough to go home to but parts are busy enough in the evening for food and drink if I want to go somewhere. Transport links are really good for getting in and out of the city. Grocery shops near by for small bits and pieces. Only issue is parking for visitors if people come and see me can be expensive.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had a few minor issues when first moving into the property. However at the time of writing this review, the team has immediately arranged to sort them for me

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The accounts/apps and sign up were initially confusing on move in. But with help from the concierge team I think it has all been sorted now .

Manager response

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a great review! Hopefully you have settled in to Duet life now and are still loving it. If we can assist any further please let the on site team know!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are plenty of restaurants and upscale pubs just an 11min walk away. The tram also goes straight to Mediacity, where there is a lot to do. The development has parking and a temporary parking lot for guests.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

So far, there haven't been any problems other than an out-of-service lift. But there are two others, and they work fine,

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There are often community events that make it easy to connect with neighbours. Bring a yoga mat

Manager response

Hi Ehi, It is lovely to hear such positive things about the building and our team. Great to hear you are enjoying the social events we put on as we really try to build a sense of community here. I do apologise about the lift that is out of service, we are currently waiting on parts to be delivered so this can be rectified. However, these delays are outside of our control. If you have any questions please reach out to one of us on site and we would be happy to help.

Modern living in Salford Quays

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Salford Quays is a well‑developed and attractive area with a great mix of cafés, restaurants and essential shops, all within easy walking distance. The waterfront paths create a pleasant atmosphere and offer plenty of open space for walks or exercise. Transport links are convenient: the Metrolink stop is close by and provides quick access to Manchester city centre, although trams can be busy during peak hours. The neighbourhood feels safe, clean and well maintained. My street is generally quiet, parking is manageable and bin collections are reliable. Anti‑social behaviour is uncommon, and overall the area offers a comfortable and enjoyable living environment.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management at Duet has been responsive and professional. Any issues I have raised have been acknowledged quickly, and maintenance requests are usually dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. Communication is clear, and the team is approachable and helpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that the area can get a little busy during major events at Salford Quays or MediaCity, which can affect traffic and tram crowding. It’s not a major issue, but being aware of it in advance would have helped set expectations.

Manager response

Hello Angelo, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! It means a lot that you appreciate how well maintained the building is, and how fabulous our on site team are. Hopefully your positive experience continues throughout your tenancy here.
