Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We love the Shore so this is a perfect spot for us! Ocean Terminal is a great mall with a movie theatre, restaurants, a Boots, etc. There are barbers across the street and THREE dentists office and a drs office nearby. I do wish there was a full grocery store but hopefully soon! Getting the tram is super easy at Ocean Terminal and there are tons of buses. Bin collections are seamless with so many options in the bin room that there is always an empty one. Our old flat's one was ALWAYS full. Traffic noise can be loud if you have the windows open but with them closed you don't hear it at all. Great area!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven't had any issues just yet so I cannot comment on this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would love more insight into what the bills would be each month because we are paying a lot in rent so don't want surprise high extra costs. They told us council tax band D in the showing and we just got a letter saying E.

Brilliant area, has everything you need. Is vibrant and interesting. Lots of amenities nearby. Waste collections are very convenient and onsite. Traffic noise is very little, aside from the tram bell, which I think is lovely

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Communications good, any issues raised are actioned timeously.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Up to now I haven’t really used the public spaces as much as I could have, tip would be to come in with the attitude that these spaces are an extension of your own home!

The living area is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. The public transport (bus &tram) is so convenient as it is only 4 minutes away from the building and always on time. Ocean Terminal includes a great cinema for a night out as well as cafes, restaurants and retail shops. Tesco and Aldi are only a few minutes away so daily groceries can be done very easily by having a short walk in the neighbourhood. Leith centre (Shore) is only 7 minutes away, having many options for food and drinks.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t had any issues yet, but they were very fast at answering questions about the delivery schedule for a couple of big furniture items.

Nothing, all has been good so far so nothing comes to mind.

Great local amenities and quiet. Still a few developments, more shops and entertainment in the area would be good.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We’ve had no issues yet but have seen them around so I imagine they’ll be supportive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The car parking situation is a bit tricky and closest viable car park is quite far.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is fantastic, while a little out of Edinburgh city center, the public transit links are great - especially the Tram which gets you into the heart of the city in under 15 minutes. Excellent food & drinks scene in Leith also, with The Shore being a short 5 minute walk from Dockside. Great shopping for clothes, groceries and anything else all within a short distance - otherwise a short ride on the tram gets you straight to St. James' Quarter mall.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All problems have been dealt with timely and effectively. The maintenance team are all incredibly nice and willing to spend the time teaching how the issue can be avoided in the future (if it can). No problems with the service at all. A big shoutout to Belle Vargas at the front desk for her constant glowing mood and always-helpful attitude - she's helped us settle in excellently!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

While we appreciate the dedication to sustainable practices, I wish we had been given more information regarding the KERS system in each unit. This would not have stopped us moving in, but understanding it in detail would've saved some 'experimentation time' regarding the daily management of hot water available to the unit.
