Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area has a good mix of local shops, cafes, restaurants, and a few pubs, with Tescos within easy reach. Located right by the docks, makes views from all sides fantastic. Spaces are well maintained. Public transport is convenient, with regular tram services providing good links into the city. The street itself is generally quiet and residential. Parking can be limited sometimes. But most importantly traffic noise is minimal most of the time.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Speedy and prompt responses. Very helpful management team.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You don’t get a sense of the community from just viewing the flat, but with time you get to know staff and neighbours by attending the hosted events and everyone is so lovely.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at Dockside, Leith is a genuinely enjoyable experience with so much on your doorstep. The area offers an excellent range of local shops, from everyday essentials to independent stores, alongside a fantastic selection of cafés, restaurants, and bars that cater to all tastes. The waterfront setting adds real character, with scenic walks and open spaces that are perfect for relaxing, exercising, or meeting friends. Transport links are very convenient and make getting around the city easy and stress-free. Regular bus services and nearby connections mean access to the city centre and surrounding areas is quick and reliable, which is ideal for both work and leisure. Life on the street itself feels calm, friendly, and well cared for. The community atmosphere is welcoming, and the area feels safe and pleasant throughout the day. Streets are generally tidy, bin collections are reliable, and there’s a nice balance between a lively neighbourhood and a peaceful place to come home to. Overall, Dockside, Leith combines character, convenience, and quality of life in a really appealing way.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management have always been very responsive and professional when any issues have been raised. Communication is clear, follow-ups are timely, and problems are dealt with efficiently, which gives real confidence and peace of mind as a resident.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is just how strong the sense of community is within the development. It’s easy to miss on a viewing, but neighbours are friendly, considerate, and there’s a real feeling of shared pride in the building. I’d also share with new neighbours how useful it is to explore the local area early on — there are so many great amenities, walks, and independent places nearby that really enhance day-to-day living. Taking a little time to get familiar with the building systems and shared spaces early also helps you settle in quickly and make the most of everything the development offers.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Leith is a great location to live and since moving away three years ago I’ve been working out ways to come back, and I’m very grateful about moving to Dockside as it’s still quiet, yet very close to public transport, buses and city centre availability for taxis and driving. There’s a host of hidden gems nearby and can only recommend the location!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fixed a small issue we had very quickly, plus easy to report issues with the app

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t think I’d be that interested in the boats out the back as much as I thought I would be

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The street is calm and peaceful. Local shops and cafes are close, and there are great paths along the water for walks. Public transport is so easy to reach, and overall I really enjoy the area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues are handled properly with clear and friendly communication from the team.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Tulu vending machine is more used than expected, you can’t rent hoovers, hair dryers and even games, which is very handy or short term uses.
