Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local amenities could be better - there is currently no walkable shop but this should change as the Houlton development progresses. Regarding transport, there appears to be no direct bus route to Rugby train station which is an issue if you do not have access to a car and need to commute to work. Living on my street is enjoyable, it is relatively quiet and litter free - it is not far from Crick Road but the road noise does not disturb us.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded in an efficient manner and mostly have resolved any issues quickly where possible.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It was not shared with us that there would be a bus stop close to our house - I would recommend demanding to see any road plans before you purchase (this will also show any annoying street lamps).

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good amenities nearby and soon to be co op which will be very useful. Nice open spaces. Close to rugby town centre, public transport links could be a bit better e.g. to get to train station requires 20 mins walking as well as bus. Ample parking in car park and at the moment little traffic (although this will probably change when Station Avenue opens at the bottom end). Nice and quiet and spacious.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would recommend people who are looking to buy in the development to do their research thoroughly and ask questions - we were not told of a potential bus stop right outside our house when we had already put the deposit down. Also it's not clear from the map that some houses are on different levels and so you may have s garden with a 30 ft wall at the end of it.

What is the best feature of your home:

The top floor bedroom - huge amount of space and very nice to relax in.

I love the development, but obviously its not complete for many years. Right now its a bit of a building site but still so nice. David Wilson are amazing: any issues are dealt with fast and without a problem. The facilities for the development are not in place yet (eg the gym complex, the rail station etc) but there is so much scope. As its been lockdown its been no problem! The location makes easy road access to every motorway around. There are no traffic issues experienced so far. Parking here is fine as I have a garage and driveway. Bin collections are regular and the developers collect large piles of boxes after move in. Had no traffic noise nor anti-social behavior at all. Would recommend this developement.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Allow a good budget to do up your home (shutters, furniture, garden etc) as I did underestimate how much I would need.

I went with David WIlson as they were clearly the best houses and customer service to the others. The quality of the build was clear when compared to others such as Bellway and Davidsons.
