Great area

In general the apartment is big, brings in a lot of light and the area is very safe. Likewise, the community is very diverse which makes the area very safe. The great transport links, close proximity to restaurants and bars make it a prime location of live.

Peaceful Area, No Problems

Verified Resident

Peaceful, no problems in the area. Its a little bit lacking for big stores, but there is a Tesco local. Some nice cafes.

There is a 5 minute walking distance to the bus stops.

Build is good and spacious.

Interesting

Verified Resident

The apartment is very spacious in comparison to the other apartments in the community. Likewise, the area is very community orientated which makes the area very safe to live in. The diverse cultures adds to the perks of the area. In terms of noise the area has no traffic noise. A problem witt the area is the placing of trash outside of the dustbins which can make the area very smelly. Also the repairs carried out by the management are useless.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

What is nice about the area is the new shopping centre and great transport links.

Great area

Verified Resident

In general the space is large, comfortable and the kitchen is exceptionally big. The big room sizes and the extensive front porch contribute to this large property. More importantly, the area is very safe and the close transport links make the area great to access other locations around london.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The perks of the area is that it is community orientated. The presence of new people in the area doesnt make the tenant happy.

Informative

Verified Resident

The area has a lot of dust fumes which impacts the frechoes of the air. Similarly, the shower lacks enough pressure impacting the quality of the shower. Despite the aforementioned faults the proximity to tescos which is five mins to tesco and the family friendly orientation of the community are some of the perks of the area.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

This area is very safe with a lot of police surveillance. The transport in the area is great. The problem with this area is that it has too much rubbish. In general the area is beautiful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The rubbish is not picked up often and thats a major issue of the area.

The neighbourhood is lovely! The community is diverse and friendly. The actual area is also very family friend, which makes it more comfortable to live in. Everything is aesthetically pleasing. My actual home is bright and spacious and everything is co-ordinated perfectly. We have no issues with dust or cleanliness, its great! The area is very safe as well and local to many transport links, shops and supermarkets.

A new development next to Burgess Park, Camberwell Fields has green space by the bucketload

Camberwell Fields is a new development of several hundred apartments, duplexes and townhouses on Edmund Street, in the London district of Camberwell. Almost half the properties here are available to buy as part of a Shared Ownership scheme, while roughly a third are available for private purchase and the rest are rental properties.

Camberwell Fields is built where the Elmington Estate once stood, and the development forms part of the ongoing regeneration of the wider area of Camberwell, which has seen significant changes over the last few years. The first phase of the project – led by Notting Hill Genesis and designed by BPTW Architects – completed in 2016.

The properties are available as one, two and three-bedroom spaces. Inside, they’re as bright and modern as you’d expect from such a new development, with oversized windows that let in plenty of light, open-plan kitchen-diners and a muted colour palette throughout to allow residents to put their own stamp on the space. Each apartment also has a balcony and many offer fantastic views over London.

In terms of facilities, Camerwell Fields has all the essentials covered. That includes handy features like a lift, secure underground parking and bike storage. It’s the location that really stands out to prospective residents, though – Burgess Park, one of the largest in south London, is just at the end of the street. It’s the beating heart of the area in summer, and features a café, children’s play areas and a lake.

As for getting around, Denmark Street Overground station is around a 15-minute walk from Camberwell Fields. It’s also served by Thameslink and Southeastern train services, which makes getting to places like Victoria, London Bridge and St Pancras – as well as other areas of the south-east – nice and simple. If you’re looking for Underground services, Oval station on the Northern line is around a 25-minute walk away.

That said, there’s plenty to do within a stone’s throw of Camberwell Fields, which is just off the main thoroughfare of Southampton Way. Thanks to Camberwell College of Arts, Camberwell itself is known for its artsy scene – from studios to lectures and a long list of eclectic bars and pubs.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Denmark Street station is around a 15-minute walk from Camberwell Fields, with Overground and mainline rail services. Camberwell itself has a great community feel.

A neighborhood feel a stone’s throw from central London

Verified Resident

Camberwell fields is a great community which you don’t often feel you get in the London area! Lots of green spaces within and around the development. We haven’t had any issues yet with the flat. The amenities in the area are pretty good, you’re within a 10 min walk to the restaurants and coffee shops of Camberwell and a Morrisons. The only down side is that it’s not that close to a tube or overground station so can’t give it 5* for that reason but loads of buses to choose from.

Please tell us more about the location and surrounding area to your development
Loads of decent restaurants and pubs within a 10 min walk.

Please share one thing (or more) that you wish you had known before you moved in:
The area is still suffering from gang related violence which I never even thought about. You don’t feel like you actually see it but you find out about it in news reports!
