Fabulous apartment building in the City Centre of Birmingham

The living conditions at allegro are fabulous. Attentive staff are always at the front desk happy to help, parcel collection is secure and monitored by the staff. The facilities are always immaculate and any maintenance problems are resolved with efficiency. The shared living areas are also a great perk, designed for socialising and working from home. The building as a whole is a great place to live!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Allegro is in the perfect location for someone wanting to live in the city centre. It’s within walking distance to both train stations and is near Birmingham City University. These transport links are excellent. Although the location is very central, the roads aren’t busy past 9pm and the apartments are built great to block any noise from the street. Parking provided within the building makes it easy and accessible when owning a car. There is a co op beneath the building also which is super handy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and efficiently. We had a problem with our washing machine and whilst waiting for a new one to be delivered we were allowed access to a vacant apartment to utilise the washing machine.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

They offer balconies! Before viewing we didn’t realise this was on option.

such a modern and lovely design as well as the podium and sky lounge. I love how there is a free coffee machine in the podium and many places to study as well as smoking areas. The reception is very nice and modern too and is a lovely place to show my friends and family.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

very good location and so close to city centre. not noisy or disrupting and having the co-op downstairs is very convenient

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very poorly as I put in a request about a leak in my bathroom and got no response. As well as my door handles not working properly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that the apartment had many faults such as a broken door, floorboard leaks and no response from the team after i emailed them about moving into a new apartment at the end of our contract!!!

A nice area to live in.

The design of the building is very nice and well-thought-out, from our home to the common area and podium. The concierges and maintenance staff are really lovely and very helpful, they always acknowledge you and try their best to make everyone feel special and comfortable in the building. Perhaps the only downside is that some common areas are degraded (walls, broken glass railings outdoor) or can get quite dirty (carpet in the corridors). Maintenance has always tried to repair/take care of it as soon as possible though.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this street is very convenient. Shops, restaurants, transports are literally a step away. Universities are also close by which was always a plus. There are plenty of car parks too. The traffic noise was never an issue as windows are soundproof. The only issue is the noise due to construction happening in town or around the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management always replied to problems and issues I have raised even when it took a while for the issues to be resolved. Both day and night concierges and members of the maintenance team have always been extremely kind and willing to help with any issues I have had.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that there would be a building right in front of my windows. That's all.

Nice facilities, however rarely get repaired so out of service a lot

Ray A (Tenant)

Facilities are decent however other building of this price range have many more facilities (private kitchens to book, larger lounge areas, study spaces, private cinemas), facilities or not very well kept, gym took over 5 weeks to repair Broken cable machine, coffee machine is constantly out of service, management does a good job with fixing issues however the time to take action is very long and problematic, with it taking almost 2-3 months in some instances, people can easily walk in and out of the building. Management takes too long to fix issues (1-2 months +), when they fix they do a good job. More facilities could be better at this price, security is questionable

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to town, many busses within a 2 minute walk very good area with shops all around, some noise and disruptions from outside rising number of homeless people staying around the building and specifically infront of Greggs and near the other sides of the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have fixed them however very sloppily, furniture is replaced however mismatched at times, very long time to take action in fixing issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The community in the building is very nice and you would feel safe however, the same cannot be said for easily accessing the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

they have resolved my water tank issues. They are specialised in plumbing.
