We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Ability Place by Ability Group is a residential development offering 600 apartments over 21 floors. There’s a mix of studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments on offer, as well as a selection of penthouses. South Quay DLR station is the closest to the property, but there’s also a reliable bus network locally and the Jubilee line is close by via Canary Wharf.

I cannot recommend living here when a majority of the other buildings in the area provide a much more modern experience at a comparable price point. Yes, AP is modestly cheaper than the surrounding buildings but that is due to various factors. Dated design, mostly unfriendly staff, cheap building materials, leaky pipes, mold, disgusting window tints, and more.

The building has changed a lot in the 11 years I have lived there. It used to be all young professionals and now it’s much more family oriented. Everyone is super friendly. The concierge team is superb, friendly and efficient. The gym is excellent and the staff there are very professional too. The spa area is also lovely. We have plenty of parking under the building and great bike parking too. The management company of fine… not perfect but really can’t complain. I bought our apartment as it has a massive outdoor terrace (100sqm+) and to have that size of private space up on the 17th floor and south facing with fantastic views is very rare indeed. The only thing we hope to see is development of better secondary education in the area. But we have many years before we need to worry too much about that.

Built in 2010 but still feels modern. 24/7 concierge are really friendly. The gym is great and you can book onto free classes. Service charge is about 4K per year so sizeable but a lot cheaper than some other developments.

It's a great residential building, it has a great concierge. Underground parking, which depends on your place. Driving out is easy, good DLR connections, great tube connections. Perfect variety for restaurants. You need permission for pets.

We used to live nearby but we switched because of the gym perks, it's open from 6-11. Very convenient! Very clean! Very friendly and quiet neighbours. Cool people. The concierge is great. My kid loves the guys behind the desk! It's only been a few months. We have a dog, as do a few other neighbours, and we didn't have to pay a special licence either! The location is perfect. The schools are close by so lots of options for my son.
