Informative

Review Date Sep 2019

In general the building quality is excellent and we bought the apartment from brand new. One minor issue I may raise is that we found holes in the carpet which we didn’t cause. In general it is a fantastic building. Also despite being located near the main road we don’t get any noise from it which is a bonus.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

What I really like about this area is that it is situated near the main road which means you can find everything around. It is also a very lovely area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I don’t believe I needed to know anything before I moved in.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is the Common garden at the front. It adds an element of nature to the conplex.

Problem with the finish

Review Date Sep 2019

When I first moved in my fridge didn’t work and also the microwave didn’t work. I have had a problem with my bathroom tiles since April and they still haven’t been fixed. The building management has taken a long time to address this issue.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

What I dislike about this area is that it is very noisy and the windows all the noise to travel easily in.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I don’t believe that I needed to know anything before I moved in.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is the distance it takes to the school.

Few onsite amenities but bags of style

Review Date Aug 2018

The leafy West London suburb of Chiswick has always been a popular corner of the capital for those craving a laid-back lifestyle, and the 500 Chiswick High Road development is sure to be a hit. Developed by Redrow and designed by Broadway Malyan, this immaculately presented development set on Chiswick’s broad and bustling high street includes a choice of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, along with one, two and three-bedroom penthouses with private terraces. There are also five four-bedroom townhouses for those wanting the extra space. At around £1,015 per square foot, these homes are priced just slightly under the average for W4 of £1,140, making them an enticing investment – although the slight lack of onsite amenities that this development offers might be a drawback for some buyers.

500 Chiswick High Road is conveniently located in the heart of W4, and is a four-minute walk away from Chiswick Park Tube station with its access to the District Line. It’s a little further than some might hope to commute (especially those working in Canary Wharf), with journey times to Bank at around 42 minutes. Although from 2019 the introduction of Crossrail means that journey times from Ealing Broadway – three stations from Chiswick Park – to the likes of Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf will be greatly reduced International travellers will benefit from the short 22-minute drive to Heathrow Airport, and the well-connected M4 is right on the doorstep. There are a number of bus routes that pass through Chiswick, for those preferring to travel above ground. Chiswick has countless reasons why it’s a great fit for families and young professionals alike. Its café culture with al fresco dining options gives it a European feel, and parents will find no shortage of child-friendly options when it comes to eateries, activities and green space. Shoppers will also be spoilt for choice, with the West End, Westfield, High Street Kensington, Knightsbridge and the King’s Road all within easy reach. You can fill your evenings and weekends with riverside strolls, pub meals and markets, in nearby Putney, Hammersmith, Kew and Notting Hill.

Residents will have access to a private landscaped courtyard garden, a secure underground car park and a concierge service who can take care of their day-to-day needs. Inside the apartments, the overall look is stylish and contemporary, with a neutral palette and natural textures creating a luxe blend. Kitchens feature soft-close cabinets in a gloss finish, with granite worktops, glass splashbacks, integrated Smeg appliances (Miele in the penthouses), including fridge freezer, microwave and washer-dryer. Meanwhile, in the bathrooms there are wall-mounted WCs with family-friendly soft-closing seats, a quartz vanity top above cistern, wall-mounted vanity unit in ash wood, and a bath with overhead shower head and handheld shower. Throughout the apartments you can expect engineered oak veneer flooring – apart from bathrooms and bedrooms – walls painted in Dulux Brilliant White matt emulsion, and storage in the form of fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. There’s also underfloor heating for the cooler months and a private balcony to most units.

Chiswick Gate is another option in this area of the capital.
