Worse and worse every year

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s very central, close to many facilities however, it’s also in the middle of the most rundown part of central Brighton with interesting crowds near the Morrison s. When I lived there there were a few break ins, packages were stolen and through the years they removed the 24 hour security/ concierge and changed it into “cc tv watch”. Transport links are fine, bus stop right in front of it. Bin collection was regular.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They tried their best but whomever was on the other side really didn’t want to send anyone. We even had lightbulbs (that were made badly and kept dying) that kept dying and it would take them months to send someone to change them and don’t let us do it ourselves.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew it would come to this with no real concierge, and poor quality apartment that kept falling apart. For this price it’s really not work in my opinion. Also parking is insanely expensive

Modern Development in a Convenient Location

Allegro Living, B7

May 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is very convenient, with a good range of supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and essential services within walking distance. Public transport links are reliable, making it easy to travel around the city. There are also nearby parks and open spaces for recreation. The street is generally quiet and well maintained, with regular bin collections and minimal anti-social behaviour. Parking can be limited during peak hours, but overall the area is pleasant and safe to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has generally been responsive and helpful. Any maintenance issues or concerns I have reported were acknowledged promptly, and updates were provided throughout the process. Most issues were resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about peak parking times and the best local amenities before moving in. It would also have been useful to know about nearby shops, transport shortcuts, and community facilities, as these have made daily life much more convenient. Overall, there were no major surprises, and the move-in experience was straightforward.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location in central Liverpool with easy access to public transport (bus and train station 5 minutes walk away) there is a Tesco extra attached to the building that is open until 11PM which is great. Nothing bad to say about the location aspect of this building. It must be stated that the staff managing the property are welcoming and very helpful.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There is an easy to use app for maintenance requests / metre readings and things logged here are completed quickly. Alternatively talking to staff in the central reception is easy and they are extremely helpful

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I have lived here for 4 years now and I believe my original rent was just below £900. Currently this has increased to just below £1200 about just over an 8% a year which is pretty high in my opinion.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Had a pleasant stay at the Allegro. Everything was close by and very convenient. Very convenient to get anywhere via public transport as well. Very well connected.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Allegro app made it very easy. If there were any issues, I would file them on the app and it would get sorted asap.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Avail all the facilities that you can. The gym community is very welcoming and supportive and all the events held by Allegro are really good and very well funded. I attended only a few events, and they were amazing and helps you engage with your neighbours.

Many issues with apartments

Waterside Apartments, LS12

Apr 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great as it's close to city center and many shops and gyms around. No parking available and antisocial behaviour is a big concern. Many apartments of the property have been turned into short lease Airbnb so it's very common for people to be throwing parties on a weekend. These parties result to increases in noise complaints, pose a risk for security and it's not uncommon that the police is involved weekly. On top of that there is trash everywhere from empty cannisters and food containers and broken glass.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Poorly. Had a flooding and still waiting 2 months for repairs. Poor communication and unreliable. They never reply to emails and have to spend your time trying to ring them to get a line, and even then they will redirect you. Last year my washing machine caught in fire and they needed a week to respond and a month to replace.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wished I new thar many apartments are Airbnb short lease and that antisocial behaviour is a weekly issue. So many people causing issues every weekend with partying and not caring for families living next door. Plus having to call the police and seeing the officers dealing with them. Lastly there is no safety and the building is always in a bad state covered with trash
