Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in Hayes, especially at Gatefold Buildings, offers a great balance of convenience and lifestyle. There’s a good range of shops, restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby, with high street brands and local options all within walking distance. Open spaces like Minet Country Park are close by, offering green relief. Transport links are excellent – Hayes & Harlington station (Elizabeth Line) is just a short walk away, making commuting into Central London quick and easy. The street is generally quiet, with regular bin collections and decent parking availability. It’s a safe, well-connected area with a growing community feel and very little anti-social behaviour.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been responsive and polite, addressing queries promptly and keeping residents informed of updates.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
In summer, the rooftop terrace occasionally attracts non-residents, especially on warmer weekends. It’s worth checking with management about access controls. Also, one of the two lifts may be under maintenance at times, so if you’re on a higher floor, be prepared for occasional delays.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I’ve been living here for over a year now and it’s honestly been a great experience. The transport links are excellent — with easy access to tube, rail, and bus connections, and Battersea Power Station is just a short walk away, offering even more shopping and dining options. Within the building itself, there’s a great Asian supermarket, the Atis salad bar (perfect for healthy lunches), and a beauty shop opening soon, which adds even more convenience. The area feels safe and lively with a nice mix of residents and local amenities. It’s a fantastic place to call home.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Excellent always sort the problem out within a day or two. Sometimes within a couple of hours
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I’d recommend is joining the residents’ WhatsApp group as soon as you move in. It’s a really friendly community, and the group helps you stay up to date with everything from building updates to local tips and social events.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There is plenty of options right on your door step. From pubs to restaurants, even the high street which has a plethora of commercial fastfood places and equally as many super markets to go to. But why do so when tescos Is right on your doorstep 😘. Accessibility to get around the city is fantastic, from DLR, overground going into the heart of London or out of. The building team are fantastic as well! Very thoughtful and communicative. Always saying hello and nothing seems to be too much for them to help with. As I've been living here happily for 2 years now and was on of the first to move into the block
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Sometimes it can take a moment to get through to someone and maybe a little more communication with organisation of needed to visit flats to do works. But otherwise fantastic
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
People who drive - doesn't seem to be much offering in terms of car parking
