Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in Lyons Dock has been a great experience overall. The area offers a good mix of local shops and supermarkets, with larger retail options just a short drive or bus ride away. There are a few nice cafés and restaurants nearby, and the open spaces like Horsenden Hill and the Grand Union Canal are perfect for walks, cycling, or just relaxing outdoors. Transport links are one of the biggest advantages—Greenford Station (Central Line and National Rail) is within walking distance, making commuting into Central London quite convenient. Buses are frequent, and the A40 is easily accessible for drivers. However, traffic can get a bit heavy during peak hours, especially near the main roads. The street itself is generally quiet and residential. Parking is available but can be limited at times, especially in the evenings. Bin collections are regular and reliable. There’s very little anti-social behaviour, and the area feels safe and family-friendly. Noise levels are low, aside from the occasional traffic hum during rush hour. Overall, it’s a well-connected, peaceful place to live with a growing sense of community.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes they mostly do and while it can take a little time all emergencies are dealt with promptly and their open door policy is the best way to see transparency
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That commercial units would take much longer to arrive but we are happy with how faster things are progressing this year.
