Great place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The building is in a very quiet and green area, yet just around the corner there’s a lively main street with plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shops. The only downside is that the west side faces the train tracks — the studio has good double-glazed windows and air conditioning, but you can’t keep the windows open all the time.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance can be a little slow at times, but it’s not a major issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building is next to a train track so if you live in the West side you will hear the train if your window is open. Not a major issue if you don't open your window all the time.

Helpful staff, but too many animal-related issues. Parcel room is a mess. The rest good.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location. But stay around the development… you don’t want to go past Stratford mall side, gets dicey. Next to the development and the mall is all good. Great links for trabsport

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

So far quick response, everything was fixed quick.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

All excpected. But wish I knew parcel room will take this much time from my week. Especially Xavier building is the biggest one and has smallest parcel room? Please fix. Most neighbours frustrated

A wonderful experience

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good - everything is within walkable distance, a lot of local shops, restaurants nearby and it's very easy to get onto the tube (5min walk) and Piccadilly Line towards London (40mins) or Heathrow airport (10mins). The area within the complex has a lot of greenery and good for pets and there are some local parks which are closeby as well (10min walk) Bad - The bus station is next to the complex and can be noisy if windows are opened.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've only ever had a few small issues which were raised for repairs via the app and was dealt with swiftly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking can be tricky, given that Charter Place does have a small limited number of parking spaces available on site for residents, however, I found someone who rented out their parking space via YourParkingSpace.co.uk which was a 5 minute walk away.

Manager response

Dear Henry, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful and detailed review. We truly appreciate your kind words about our support team, on-site staff, and the various amenities available at Charter Place. It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve had positive experiences with our maintenance service, app-based repair logging, and that you’ve found the residents' lounge, gym, and secure post room convenient and helpful. We're especially pleased to know that the local area has suited your lifestyle well, its walkability, proximity to shops and transport links, and green spaces are all aspects we’re proud to offer to our residents. We’re also glad that you’ve found creative solutions for parking, and appreciate you sharing that insight for future residents. We do acknowledge your feedback regarding the noise from the nearby bus station when windows are open. Your input helps us continue to find ways to enhance the overall living experience for our residents, and we’ll take this into consideration as we explore potential improvements. Thank you again for your kind recommendation and for being a valued member of the Charter Place community. Should you ever need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Valentina

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I love living here. Coal drops is like a little haven with greenery and cute shops – it's full of good vibes, cute family events, cultural events. It's clean, safe and having the canal is a blessing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, everything single time. Specifically maintenance. They also disposed of my couch for me! It was amazing!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Booking the amenities is pricy, but it ensures exclusivity.

The transport links are amazing and very easy to get around London. I like that i have the Jubilee and Elizabeth line very close.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always quickly and the online system is very easy to use and quick

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The development is really well run. Sally at concierge is always so lovely and helpful and goes out of her way to help all the tenants. She has made my time at Newfoundland very easy.
