Not had any dealings with the management company yet, still had a few issues with our house that’s just about finished, nearly 3 years after we bought it. Love the design of our house and the bifold doors are one of the reasons that we bought it. We’ve got plenty of room so we are glad that we choose the house that we did

We love the location of our house, it’s quiet and peaceful and we feel safe. I can walk to work in 15 mins too which is great

We wish the flooring had been installed correctly then we wouldn’t have had the problems that we have had
What is the best feature of your home:
We love the bifold doors and the size of our garden
The design is good and practical but the quality is not near enough as good as it should be
The design is good and practical but the quality is not near enough as good as it should be, building management was good considering covid period and lock downs, property management could be better too, streets were finished last summer then digged again

The area is good, next to the lake and many many shops, schools, bars and restaurants. Very convenient.

I knew everything, there were no surprises at all.

Semi-detached home in Lakeside, Doncaster
Lovely estate, very popular location. The design is very pretty however a number of people faced some problems with their build – we had a leak quite early into our move for example. This was promptly fixed by Lovell, as were any defects that we noticed.

Good transport links, scenic lake, nice variation in properties available, however not much space for guest or visitor parking

We had trouble accessing the help to buy – this was not picked up by the builders or recommended solicitors which was disappointing and led to significant delays to our move
What is the best feature of your home:
The best feature is certainly the location of the estate in Doncaster, near the lake, good travel links and various facilities.
Disappointed with the plumbing.
Terrible plumbing! Nothing but problems with the shower in the en suite and bath. Constantly leaking through the ceilings and spent £100’s on plumbers coming out time after time to try and sort it with no one actually able to fix the problem. It’s definitely put me off buying a new build again.

The location is absolutely ideal, with so many local amenities on the doorstep. We also have the beautiful lake to walk around with our children. It is a quiet estate with wonderful neighbours.

I wish I’d have known how bad the plumbing in a new build was. If I’d have known, I would have never gone for it.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not very well, initially they were happy to help however the problem was never fully sorted and now is ‘no longer their issue’.
Faultless (almost!)
Almost faultless process. The process of buying the house couldn’t have gone any smoother – it was very quick and the Lovell staff were excellent, dealing with any issues or questions that I had along the way.
Since moving in, I have had some issues with snagging that unfortunately, weren’t corrected to a good enough standard and has caused further issues (bathroom leaks). This is the only problem that I have encountered throughout the whole process. Again, Lovell staff were fantastic throughout this – it was the contractors that caused issues and extensive delays.

Brilliant locality – close to lots of restaurants and shops. Transport links are fantastic too.
I love living on my street – I had some issues with antisocial behaviour about a year ago, but this has stopped now and I couldn’t be happier with where I live.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
My drive way is at the back of my house and when I went through the purchasing process, I didn’t think this would bother me. But I really wish my driveway was closer to the front of my property.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Lovell have responded to issues very quickly – it was contractors that I had problems with.
I would personally never buy a new build again as it has been nothing but hassle, i would not recommend Lovell homes as my experience has been very poor from start to what seems to be a never ending finish.
In my opinion the building work in my property has been very poor and nearly 2 years later I am still having issues. The roads on the estate are still not completed and we’re left in a horrific state for residents, i damaged my vehicle because of this. The site manager on the development was also very rude.

The parking on the estate is dreadful, permit parking for residents should of been considered

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I do not think there aftercare team is great at communicating with there customers or with the contractors
Good but could be better
Design is fine, however there has been numerous times where we have had to ring up the developer as something out of our control has happened with the house, usually the pipe work, and it’s taken far too long for them to come out and repair the issue. We’ve also now had issues in each bathroom, mostly regarding leaking pipes. However, with this being said whenever we ring up customer care they have been really helpful.

Parking is not very good for the smaller houses. The location is good as it’s close to Lakeside Shopping Centre and Herten Triangle, however because of this we get a fair bit of antisocial behaviour with people meeting up in the car parks, racing down the Airborne Road at the back of the development and people hanging around in the poorly lit areas of the development and surrounding areas. Bin collection is fine.

I wish I had known how many people were going to be parking on the street, as it is a battle just to find parking when you have 2 cars and 1 driveway.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have because we have had a few, it has just taken them a long time to respond to these issues.
Open, bright and welcoming!
Our development is stylish yet classy. It is open, bright and welcoming! The floor plan is well thought out and very easy to manage. We have had a couple of leaks from the bath / shower however these were rectified by the builder. We have some wonderful neighbours and everyone looks out for one another.

There are amazing local amenities, including bowling, cinema, lake, eating places and a leisure centre. The street is quiet with no disruptions. We are close to all motorway links however experience no traffic noise.

That there was going to be an alley way at the side of our next door neighbours house.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
All issues that have been raised have been dealt with in a timely manner.
Great area
The building is good, bright and open, we have had a few snags, some have been outstanding for months since moving in. The development is lovely, roads are quite narrow and can make parking difficult. Property management has been challenging throughout which is a shame.

Nice to be near the lake but at a cost of lots of traffic noise and very difficult to find parking

Plenty of snags still outstanding. Took months to get turf.
Garbage
Nice as pie when your buying the house. As soon as you move in that’s it. Won’t do any snags right. All plumbing wrong. They are not interested one bit. I would never ever buy another home from Lovell. Worst experience ever. Phone call after phone call.

Really good location. Shops gym and restaurants so close. Everything is so close. Motorway/ football stadium
