Great development

The design is great and like 5 star hotel. The management has been very good so far. The park in front of the building and communal garden are maintained very well. The new water area has been open this week and I assume more space will be open gradually.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The development is very close to Westfield and convenient but the gym and pool are still under construction.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The area is not good for your car insurance. I have just moved from Hammersmith but the price went up by £500.

What is the best feature of your home:

Comfort cooling. Our previous flat was very hot and we cannot stay inside during summer recently. I am very happy that the current flat has comfort cooling to escape from the heat in summer.

White city living – the good

Review Date Jan 2021

The development is amazing. The design and facilities that it offers is like nothing else in the city.
Outstanding facilities including pool, gym & cinemas
Excellent transport links just 12 minutes to Bond Street
Next door to Westfield London and Imperial College London

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Alot of local amenities around especially with Westfield nearby

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The bills. I didn’t realise the bills would add so much to the rent

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I wish the rooms were a bit bigger and cheaper rent but that’s with anywhere in London.

The location is as we wanted and the build quality is as expected. There are a few design issues that maybe look good but don’t quite work, for example the sink in the second bathroom is under a mirrored cupboard and impossible to get your head over , totally impractical. The glass outside is impossible to clean even with a robot as there is another glass panel there, looks good until it gets dirty.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Two underground lines, major shopping centre, 500m from the A40 so perfect.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We are south facing so get noise from the railway, other directions may be better

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, had a couple of issues and both sorted out within 24 hours

Upscale apartments adjacent to Westfield

Verified Resident

Review Date Jun 2020

Lincoln Apartments has a wide selection of flats. Since the downstairs is the Woodlane tube station, the southeast facing apartment will be a little noisy, and the doors and Windows need to be closed for sleeping. The appliances in the apartment are very good. For me, the kitchen’s counters are a little high, the refrigerator’s freezer room is a little small, and I live in a flat with a smaller kitchen, so there isn’t enough storage space. The management of the building and the property is satisfactory, but I prefer to have a mailbox for each flat at the concierge rather than a mail slot in the door. Sometimes it’s a shock when a letter comes in suddenly. At present, except for a small garden, there are no other public facilities available, such as gym, club, swimming pool, etc., which I look forward to open soon. I choose this place because I think it will have good supporting facilities.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Close to two tube stations, White City and Wood Lane, and several bus stops, the transportation is very convenient. It is adjacen to Westfield, the largest shopping centre in Europe, it is extremely convenient for shopping and dining. But the big parks are a bit far away, and apart from Westfield, the surrounding street environment is not very good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The hardness of domestic water in this area from the supplier.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Replace the carpet in the two bedrooms with wood floors.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

the transport links are convenient but busy

Very bright modern internal design, well equipped facilities including washing machine, dish washer, under floor heating and AC! Very kind reception through we wish all the parcel especially the large one can be sent direct to my door. However, Construction &noise all the time during the day. Maybe too dense community, low privacy.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Gym & swimming pool have not opened.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No gym or swimming open for now

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Hard to clarify all the suppliers. Seems no gas needed but hot water?

White City transformation

White City transformation

Review Date Sep 2018

A high density development on several acres of land north of Shepherds Bush Westfield. Not to be confused with the redevelopment of the old BBC on the west side of Wood Lane. Completion of all the buildings won’t be for a few years, with Phase 1 scheduled for late 2019, but the flats are selling fast. You can see why – lots of swish add-ons, transport links are very good and so, obviously, is shopping, eating and entertainment, not to mention the conveniently close proximity of Imperial College’s new White City Campus. Typical buyers in this development won’t be comparing it with the traditional Londoner’s view of Shepherds Bush and White City as frankly being a bit rough but a trickle down effect is, hopefully, inevitable. In the meantime, the flats are packed in but to St James’s credit there’ll be 8 acres of outside space that’s open to the public as well. It will be ”just like New York’ says the nice sales lady and with 1,400 apartments in blocks of varying heights up to around 21 floors in Phase 1 and 27 in Phase 4 she might be right. Only quibble at this early stage is that ceiling heights feel a little on the low side.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

This development has everything a resident will need right on the doorstep with Westfield. Residents won’t need – and indeed may not want – to venture into the nearby streets or the shops of Shepherds Bush itself. It’s traditionally a rather poor area that’s taking its time to come up. Extensive social housing and a football stadium may explain the foot riding on the brake but there are small pockets fighting a rear guard action. Uxbridge Road has plenty of individual restaurants and shops that cater to a local population that hails from all over the world and there is a fantastic local theatre (the Bush).
