This development is appalling. All the huge patio windows are having to be removed as no insulation. The whole building was inspected by Fire Brigade, it was not fire retardant. The lift keeps breaking but the ‘help’ button connects to nobody. The gardens are like a jungle despite paying up front for gardeners. The gym is not open, 15 months after being charged monthly for it. There are so many issues. The police are here on a daily basis. Garage doors – wires cut, cars broken into. Bicycles stolen from ‘secure’ place. Scaffolding keeps falling into the children’s play area – it’s a dreadful mess and plenty more wrong with it.

One parking space per apartment. No visitor parking, no off street parking. The company employed to issue parking tickets are lightning quick

I wish I’d known how shockingly poor and shoddy this company is. From the builders who throw their rubbish into the internal road, to the management who take zero responsibility for anything. They are absolutely horrible to deal with. Expect a fight on your hands with CN, I’ve never experienced anything like it with a new build, and I’ve owned several previously.
What is the best feature of your home:
Absolutely nothing. Awaiting the utter turbulence that neighbours have had when faults are ‘rectified’. Crest Nicholson expect owners to move out to hotels at their own cost, leaving their homes insecure with no doors intact!

Customer Service Improving
These blocks are nicely designed with a central communal area encouraging neighbours to meet each other. I have met many decent and responsible leaseholders and tenants who support each other and help to maintain standards such as recycling and waste disposal. Things are improving slowly but a way to go yet.

Since my last review I wanted to add a comment that the improvements to security are slowly being responded to. The garden area in Somers House still has a central large patch of concrete which looks strange like it is unfinished. Ground floor still exposed with no doors so anyone can walk in there. We are assured parking permits will be issued when Crest Nicholson hand over to A2dominion Management Company after completion of development so a long time away, however they are as helpful as possible on this matter and sympathetic to individuals. A2dominion have not yet registered the leaseholders and calling them will do no good. Any matters should be dealt with by CN.

Parking is an issue but we need to see if that improves.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
See above. CN are the developers and are responding to issues, going the extra mile on occasion.
READ BEFORE PURCHASING
I would advise prospective buyers to read this before proceding.
1. Apart from any allocated space you purchase THERE IS NO RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS ALLOWED FOR OCCUPIERS OF THESE FLATS and there are NO NEARBY ROADS AT ALL WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS. The station carpark is well over £1k per annum. Guests and occupiers will need to pay.
2. INTERCOMS FAILING ALL THE TIME
3. VANDALISM AND THEFT WHICH COULD BE PREVENTED
4. GARDENS AND SOME AREAS NOT COMPLETED AND LEFT EXPOSED
5. OWNERS HAVE TO CAMPAIGN TO GET BASIC FIXES ON DOORS AND NEED TO MAKE OWN NOTICES
6. CN AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY DO NOT RESPOND

THESE APARTMENTS ARE UNFINISHED AND VULNERABLE. I WOUPD SUGGEST PURCHASERS THINK BEFORE BUYING. IT IS A BATTLE TO GET MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY FIXES. MANY PARTS OF BLOCK EXPOSED.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have a forum and appointed person to raise complaints but the management company and developer do not take action and mostly ignore us
