Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good - great view, young professionals live around so good for younger community, nearby transport links and shops

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Great - Joe put to bed all my problems and explained it super clear. Now I have none!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew how great of a view I have. Also I wish I had my flatmates contact details possibly , depending if they consent.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

many shops near by, and plenty of options for bars and restaurants. everywhere is a close walk to the main area of bars

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

they always give us notice before any maintenance will happen in the building

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

that the laundry room is in the basement, requiring you to use the regular lifts to go to the ground floor then through another series of fob doors, then down another lift. can be a bit of a hassle trying to carry everything

Manager response

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. Its great to hear your positive experience.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location, easy access to multiple areas of Manchester by foot or public transport No parking in the building which doesn’t affect me but I can imagine is important for some people Windows are well sound proofed so can’t hear the outside world if they’re shut. Can get slightly noisy if they’re open especially on a weekend but I wouldn’t call it problematic

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Lifts do break but have been fixed within the day, same with other issues, haven’t had any issues within flat maintenance so can’t comment on that

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just a more thought out matching scheme covering dietary requirements and then an option to add your name, age, gender, email address or social media to be shared with new flat mates who are going to move in and vice-versa

Manager response

Thanks for your honest and detailed feedback. It's good to see that there are still lots of positive things you have enjoyed whilst living at Union. We would love to speak to you further about some of the feedback points so please do reach out.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Metrolink connectivity is great! The free bus operates around here too, making it easier to get to the train stations. Other bus stops and grocery stores are a bit far (10-20 mins walk), but still manageable. The neighbourhood is developing everyday and become more lovely with Aviva studios just next door and the city centre is a 20 mins walk away, which is perfect! The street is usually quiet (no noise complaints). It can be a bit busy was events get over at Aviva studios but the windows are super noise-proof (can’t even hear any construction noises when the windows are shut)

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly! I had an issue with my drainage and also my electricity once when the main fuse dropped but they helped me immediately and were easily approachable through email/reception

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That you can either use phone to unlock your room/flat or a fob (not both). It would make sense to have it both as a back up but it’s super minor

Manager response

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We’re so pleased to hear you’re enjoying life at Union.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Union is located in a great neighbourhood, easy access to across Manchester City centre and transport links from deansgate train/trams. No parking with Union but if you have visitors there are some multi story car parks nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I personally haven’t had any maintained issues as of yet, but the building management team were great during my signing onto the flat and viewings, and the reception are incredibly helpful for any day to day queries.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’ve found the rooms can get quite hot, I have an east facing window so particularly in the mornings for me. I haven’t found it to be much of an issue and the windows open wide enough for a breeze in the evenings but would recommend bringing a fan of some kind - particularly during summer months.

Manager response

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. It means a lot to our team and we always listen to resident feedback to make Union the best living experience.
