Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I have loved living in this part of Manchester. It’s a close enough walk into town, and just on the outskirts so that you still feel relaxed and not fully in the hustle and bustle.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have responded really quickly, at least in 24 hours.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
At first I didn’t get U+ but after a couple of months of not having any friends, I bought the membership and made some of the bestest friends. Especially since I’m quite scared with making friends.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living at Union Coliving in Manchester has been a great experience. The location is ideal, with shops, restaurants, and transport links all nearby. The building is modern and well maintained, with excellent facilities such as a gym, café, and co-working areas. The staff, especially at reception, are always friendly and helpful, making the place feel welcoming and supportive. It’s also a very social environment with regular events and great communal spaces to meet new people. Rent includes all bills, which makes living here simple and stress-free. Overall, Union Coliving offers a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and community — a fantastic place to live in the heart of Manchester.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has always responded quickly and effectively to any issues I have raised.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
There’s nothing specific I wish I had known before moving in; my experience has been straightforward

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The Good: Prime Manchester location. Excellent restaurants and pubs nearby, easy access to shops, and you're right next to Aviva Studios for year-round events. The Bad : Note: No private on-site parking is available.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been excellent and highly responsive. When I reported a power cut-off, a team member immediately came to the apartment and personally resolved the issue. The entire team is approachable, eager to help, and very reliable.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One detail I wish I had known beforehand is the trash disposal system. I had assumed there would be a bin chute on each floor (as mentioned in initial building materials). However, for the West Tower, you must go to the ground floor to dispose of garbage. It's a minor inconvenience, but worth noting.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in the city centre of Manchester has both its perks and drawbacks. The area is rich with a huge variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars—ranging from independent spots in the Northern Quarter to well-known high street chains around Deansgate and the Arndale. There’s something for every taste and budget, and the convenience is hard to beat. Open spaces like Piccadilly Gardens and Cathedral Gardens offer small green getaways, though they can get busy and a little messy at times. Transport links are generally excellent. You have multiple tram lines, bus routes, and two major train stations (Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria) within walking distance. However, buses can be delayed during rush hour, and trams are sometimes overcrowded. That said, it's easy to get around without needing a car.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management usually responds to issues, but it can take several follow-ups before anything is resolved. Urgent problems are handled quicker, but general maintenance or communal concerns often take longer than expected.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew how warm the apartment would get in summer. Many city centre flats have large windows and little ventilation, and with no air conditioning, it can be uncomfortable during heatwaves. Also, some developments have ongoing construction nearby which can get quite noisy during the day — not something you always notice during a short viewing. Lastly, service charges and utility costs in newer buildings can be higher than expected, so it’s worth budgeting for that.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I love living here! Despite being in the inner ring it's so quiet at night, I never have an issue falling asleep. Yet whenever I go out at night the local area is always busy so as a woman I feel very safe walking home.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
When I moved in I was unsure of how to use the laundry / parcel room but the staff took me to them and explained everything to me. I've had no maintenance issues in my flat but the staff at reception have been very open with who I need to go to get stuff sorted and they've reassured me it will be dealt with extremely quickly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Just how friendly everyone is! Even people who aren't in my flat have come up and introduced themselves and offered to help me with things which made me feel so welcome. If you're thinking of moving to union but you're nervous about the social aspect, don't be :)
