Overall, while this apartment is not the best property we have lived in, it is arguably one of the better options available within the area.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There isn’t many local shops nearby but there is a nice park nearby. Unfortunately there isn’t spaces for parking which is inconvenient when you did shopping and you need to walk roughly 5 mins to your home. The area feels safe which is nice and comforting. The only noise at the moment is the noise from the builders Infront but that will soon stop so it’s not a problem
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes in a timely manner. She is brilliant, so no problems there
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
It was difficult booking a viewing with allsop . We called so many times and no one helped , when we finally got a viewing we didn’t even receive a confirmation email which was requested and when we showed up there was no one expecting us. we had to ask to be let in by a neighbour who called the property manager for us who clearly didn’t know about our viewing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area is convenient and generally pleasant to live in. There is a good range of everyday shops nearby, along with cafés and takeaways, and larger supermarkets are easy to reach. Green spaces and riverside walks are a real bonus and make the area feel calmer than nearby towns. Transport links are reliable, with regular train services and decent road connections, although peak times can be busy. No Parking at all and the risk of fines makes it hard to unload shopping. bin collections are consistent and well managed. The area feels safe overall.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been slow to respond to issues, with limited communication and a lack of urgency. Problems often require repeated follow-ups before any action is taken, and some issues remain unresolved for long periods.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Communication was extremely poor at the start of the tenancy. We signed the contracts and moved in without receiving any meaningful information or guidance beforehand. The welcome email was not sent until four weeks after moving in, which caused issues with setting up the electric company and water supply. The parking situation was also not explained at any stage prior to moving in, which led to immediate and ongoing problems. Any basic information in advance would have been helpful and would have made the move-in process far smoother.
Manager response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you value the design of the development and enjoy the local area, including the nearby amenities, green spaces and transport links. We are sorry to read that your experience has been impacted by issues relating to heating in communal areas, parking availability, and the level of communication received from the management team, particularly at the start of your tenancy. We recognise how important a smooth move-in process is, and we regret that the initial information provided did not meet expectations. We also acknowledge your comments regarding response times and follow-up on reported issues. This is not the standard of service we aim to deliver, and we are continuing to review our processes to improve communication, responsiveness, and overall resident experience. Parking is a known constraint at the development, and we understand the frustration this can cause. We are continuing to review how this is communicated to residents to ensure expectations are clear from the outset. Resident feedback is extremely important to us and is used to drive improvements across both management and service delivery. Our team has contacted you directly to discuss your concerns and ensure any outstanding matters are addressed. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the management team.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area has a Sainsbury's about 10 minutes' walk away, though the shopping centre closes at 6pm which can be inconvenient for after-work shopping. For more variety you'll need to travel further. The development has lovely views over the Medway, which is a real highlight. Transport links are good - the station is a 15-minute walk with fast trains to London, making it viable for commuters. The street itself backs onto a busy road, so there is noticeable traffic noise if you have the windows open. Paid allocated parking is available. Bin collections have been fine, and I haven't experienced any anti-social behaviour. The development is noticeably more upscale than the surrounding area - Chatham isn't the most affluent town, and there's quite a contrast between this new build and the local neighborhood. Depending on your perspective, this could be seen as good value for the spec of accommodation, or you might prefer a development that blends more naturally with its surroundings.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been quick to respond and resolve issues once they've been raised. Communication is friendly and action is taken promptly. However, many of the problems could have been prevented with better organization and proactive planning during the initial move-in process. Going forward, I hope the responsiveness continues and that processes become more streamlined.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I'd known there would be significant staff changes during the move-in process, which led to things being dropped or overlooked repeatedly. Even staying organized on my end wasn't enough - you really need to double and triple-check everything is actually being handled, as communication gaps were frequent. The windows are triple glazed so road noise isn't an issue with them closed, but be aware that in summer when you want the balcony door or windows open, traffic noise from the nearby road is quite noticeable. On the positive side, the Medway views are genuinely lovely and the train connections to London are reliable and fast. The development is noticeably more modern and upscale than the surrounding Chatham area, which creates quite a contrast - worth seeing the wider neighborhood beyond just the development itself before committing.
Manager response
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review; it’s incredibly valuable for us, particularly as one of the first residents in the building. We’re delighted to hear how positively you feel about the quality of the apartment, the design and finishes, the views over the Medway and the overall layout. It’s also great to know you value the transport links and connectivity for commuting, as well as the facilities and overall standard of the development. We really appreciate your honest feedback regarding your move-in experience. While there can sometimes be teething issues with brand-new buildings and the first residents moving in, we fully recognise that clear communication, strong organisation and proactive planning are essential. We’re sorry that your experience didn’t fully reflect the standard we aim to provide, and your comments are being used to help improve our processes for future residents. We’re pleased to hear the property management team has been friendly, responsive and proactive in resolving any issues raised. Ensuring residents feel supported and listened to is extremely important to us, and we’re committed to continuing to improve both our communication and operational processes as the building becomes fully established. We really appreciate your recommendation and your balanced feedback on both the property and management. If there is ever anything further you need, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is fine, close to the the waterfront bus station and 20 minutes walk from the train station. Ideal if you work at the hospital and nice park nearby
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not efficient, late and not always appropriate reply
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Nothing in particular the visti was good. I wished someone told me I needed a signed contract (I had a letter of employment) that really slowed down things. But apart from that everything was pretty what I expected
Manager response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you’re happy with the quality of the apartment, furnishings and appliances, as well as the storage space and bike facilities. It’s also great to know the location works well for you, particularly for transport links, the hospital and nearby green spaces. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with communication, the inventory appointment and support with setting up your bill account. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide. We would really like the opportunity to resolve these outstanding issues as quickly as possible and improve your experience going forward. I understand you are in contact the management team directly and we are reviewing this as a priority and ensure you receive the support you need.
