Norton – Value for Money!

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Apr 2020

Overall, the Norton has been well thought through in terms of it’s design for both interiors and exteriors, the way its regularly maintained and managed and how it complements its surrounding adjacencies within its locale. The simplistic and aesthetically-pleasing design features throughout the Norton have really taken into consideration the practical and functional uses.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I’ve been in the Norton since the beginning in 2015, which was before anything else developed in this area. One element at a time, different community features were designed and built into place ranging from the Aperture building to the enhanced experience walking by the Thames. Oh how this whole area has been transformed in such a short period!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The proximity to other nearby apartments

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Although my issues were minor, they addressed them with professionalism and were prompt and personable in providing their service.

Great location with good access to amenities

Verified Resident

Review Date Apr 2020

Well curated development with a cohesive design language which remains interesting (not just the same type of buildings). Not yet complete but can see what is trying to be achieved and progress has been made. Good central facilities including a large gym and concierge. Issues are dealt with but it can take time / require chasing. Think there are opportunities to reduce the service charge through efficiencies but there is an active community which scrutinises service charge expenses.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good location close to the tube station. Good amount of green space. Sufficient local shops. Not too congested/busy. O2 has a lot of restauarant / leisure options.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The best places to park if you have visitors travelling from afar

What is the best feature of your home:

The layour which includes a walk-in wardrobe (very unusual)

Great area to live in

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Apr 2020

More window cleaning services would be great for the service charge.

Great cleaners on a daily basis

Dislike the fob design for building access for guests and the camera is too low down

Also the utility reader built in my building was broken within the week of living here and no one knew who i should contact to get fixed and i have been living here 4 years and still not fixed

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

More variety of shops and i like how the doctors and dentist and local co op is located and so closeby. It makes things easier for access during isolation and to live in the area

Security access is great where no other strangers can access your floor but makes it complicated for guests

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Energy companies that you must use i.e. BT for internet only and heating companies

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The fob design for access for your guests. There should be a button to let them access upto the lifts

Very good, future, modern design, lived here approximately a year. Select and save is convenient, and the cafe is local.
Location very close. Restaurants at o2 and concerts are really close. Good for when family and friends visit.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very accessible, mixed with students and professionals. Good transport links.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is more problematic than expected. Permits expensive.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Parking arrangement for guests especially. Needs to be better organised.

Nice development but the parking is difficult

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Aug 2019

The development is well maintained but the parking is a bit difficult. Even if you have kids you are not entitled additional space. In the flat there is an open plan which is not kids friendly either. They tend to touch the cookers and it is a nightmare. I live on the fourth floor and I feel there are some safety hazards too. The kids tend to hold onto the windows’ handles so the ground floor flats would have been a better option for me.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love the area, it is very beautiful and everyrhing is close, for example, the bus stop and the undeground station. We have got so many shops nearby too, for instance, Asda. The GP is super close as well.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The parking is horrific. I didn’t know about that.

Are there any facilities you would like added, or that you have but do not use:

I want the kitchen and the living room to be separated.

Friendly people

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Aug 2019

Friendly people and a quiet atmosphere but the area could be a bit more child friendly and could do with a few more play areas. There’s a lack of free parking spaces and underground parking is not available to everyone.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good transport links and it’s close to the local shops and restaurants

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The river boat stop is quite close

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The kitchen doesn’t have any draws, just cupboards

Nice and well maintained development

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Aug 2019

The development is well finished and well maintained. They hoover every day which is nice. My flat is spacious, open plan and I love the view from my terrace. It overlooks The O2 and it is lovely. The management is alright , I have been living here for 4 years and I haven’t had any problems. In terms of facilities, we have two gyms and a restaurant.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It is a well connected area. Only 5 minutes away by foot to North Greenwich Tube Station. Very safe too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew how horrible the parking is. There are limited spaces and if you don’t get one, you have to pay extra. In addition, the gym can be used only by owners.

Are there any facilities you would like added, or that you have but do not use:

I wish I could use the gym. As a tenant I am not allowed.

Close to the O2 Arena

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Aug 2019

This development has OK transport links into central London and it’s also close to river boat stop. There is only a small pavement outside the buildings and the doors and windows are close to the road so it can get a bit noisy if you’re on the ground floor.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

No childrens play area may be a problem for some families

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Traffic noise and thin walls

This is THE development if you are a working professional

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Apr 2019

Fantastic quality build. Very modern feel to the apartment with nice touches, such as Siemens appliances, underfloor heating, Villeroy & Boch sanitary installations etc. Efficient concierge service (never had a package rejected and always get a text reminding me to collect shipments from the office). Typical residents’ gym that is kept clean and generally well-looked after. Another ‘cool’ feature of the development is laundry lockers, where you can leave your clothes to be collected and delivered back by a dry cleaner.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is very quiet. There is a nice waterfront walkway that starts at the Thames Barrier, takes you along the west side of Greenwich Peninsula and round the O2 with amazing views of the river and Canary Wharf. Some selection of shops across the road and a more extensive range of food and entertainment facilities at the O2 (10-min walk). Your nearest large-ish supermarket is Waitrose at Canary Wharf, so probably best to have your groceries delivered. North Greenwich station is a 10-min walk away, so you can be at Canary Wharf in under 15 mins and in Central London in 20-30 mins. Of course, the Jubilee line is very efficient with frequent services, all of which either call or terminate at North Greenwich, and you do benefit from the Night Tube too. Maybe not too many schools, parks and family-oriented places in the vicinity, so the area is much more well-suited to working professionals rather than families with children.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Only that I wish I found the place sooner (not very least due to the fact that the prices in the area have increased quite drastically).

great links

Verified Resident

Review Date Mar 2018

The jubilee line is through Greenwich + DLR+ river taxi and trains to charing cross so don’t worry about links to central london. My parents (N Londoners!) still ask how we manage not being on the underground. Actually we’re within walking distance of N Greenwich tube, by my criteria, but hardly use it. If you live in SE London you just don’t miss the tube; if you are not from here it seems as though people base house-buying decisions on a tube map rather than an integrated transport map and therefore big parts of SE London simply don’t feature on their radar, so there’s relatively lower demand. That being said with all this development prices are shooting up and now seem just as competitive to the rest of London, luckily for me I bought a while back before things got silly.

So much has happened

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Mar 2018

We moved here over 15 years ago and there were only a few of us to start and we formed a tight-knit community and what is incredible that all these years later, many of those people are still living here and enjoying the changes constantly happening around us. We love this sense of change and evolvement that is happening and have watched the dome turn from a white elephant to The O2. It isn’t just developments and restaurants – we’ve got parks and cultural spaces just a short stroll from my apartment and the river on the doorstep. The river is always active – either small commercial boats, yachts or people rowing.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I could never have predicted what was to come!
