Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location, close to Oxford city centre but also located towards the countryside. Many lovely local walks along the Thames River and into Abingdon and Bagley Wood right on your doorstep. Good transport links with Radley train station a 5min drive and a bus stop located next to the development. Homes come with 2 parking spaces but limited on street parking available. Although there is a train line behind the development, the trains are rarely heard.

There is a great community feel at The Lawns development.

What is the best feature of your home:

We really love our kitchen diner, with huge patio doors and kitchen island. It’s a very functional space that has been well designed.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We're in between two villages, so the nearest shop is about 30 mins walking distance. However, there are fantastic transport links, as the bus stop for the Oxford-Abingdon bus is right outside our house. Despite not being in a village, it feels like we live in a suburb of Oxford and Abingdon, so can take advantage of all the amenities in either of those places. The A34 is about a mile away, so we have fantastic road links. Sometimes you can hear the traffic on the dual carriageway when the wind blows from the west, but by and large the wood masks most of the sound. To east it's a 15-minute walk to the Thames and Sandford Lock, which is lovely for a walk or visiting the pub. Cycling is very easy here, we are on national route 5, so we couldn't ask for a better location. The estate is quiet, and the bins are collected each week. We've all had issues with the garden waste collection which the local authority blames on lack of drivers, but this hasn't really been an issue for us. All the neighbours are pleasant and respectful. We're all looking forward to more of the site being finished, to make access easier.

What is the best feature of your home:

The large kitchen/family room which is great for entertaining.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The lawns is a very peaceful and lovely place to live. The houses are very unique and the style is lovely. Interiors are modern but had a traditional element which makes it feel very homely

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

What is the best feature of your home:

I love the spacious kitchen and hardwood flooring!
