Awful management in a somewhat well presented building

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is fine, nearby dockside, close shops, seems safe. Nothing special, it’s just the nicest part of the nastiest bit of Kent

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

She doesn’t listen, she’s dismissive and unhelpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not worth the insane price of rent in any way. Tenancy is sold as including all these amazing benefits, but the whole management system makes a pigs ear out of all of it.

Yes heating, water electric and childcare questions

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

A High-Quality, Quiet, and Well-Managed Waterside Home

Nov 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location & Setting - The Kell is beautifully positioned on the waterfront of Chatham Docks, which gives it a very peaceful, scenic feel. It’s lovely to have riverside walks nearby, and the surroundings feel modern but not sterile. The area is quiet and friendly, with local shops, takeaways, and an Asda very close by. Transport & Connectivity - It's fairly well-connected: there are bus routes, and although the train station is a 20-minute walk, the trade-off is the tranquility and the quality of life here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues raised are dealt with efficiently, which really adds to the feeling that this is a well-run community.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Transport Limitation - While buses are nearby, the distance to the train station is a downside. Network Limitation - Mobile signal inside the building can be weak due to the building structure.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lots of facilities around with a Asda superstore five minutes away 15 minutes to the High Street with lots of parks and recreation facilities such as gyms, restaurants and supermarkets nearby with the high-quality windows. You don’t hear the noises from outside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When I have raised issues in the building, they are rectified within one week of notification to my satisfaction

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The nearest train station is 20 minutes walk away and there is a lack of public transport that services the area.
