From the moment I moved in, I’ve felt incredibly welcomed and looked after. The team here really goes above and beyond to make the experience feel more like home than just another apartment building. Kristeen, the general manager, is an absolute gem. She’s always so friendly and warm, every time I walk into reception, she greets me with a smile and is genuinely happy to help with anything. It makes such a difference to have someone so approachable running the place. It’s really nice to be able to be made feel so comfortable in raising any issues. Helio, the maintenance manager, is incredibly responsive and hands-on. Whether it’s a small fix or a random question, he’s always quick to assist and sorts things out efficiently. George, the facilitates assistance. Not only does he keep the hallways and shared areas spotless, but he’s also helped me personally on several occasions — like when I received a heavy and large package he helped me carry this up to my apartment. It was really appreciate after coming home from a long day of work and not having to carry such a large package upstairs! The apartments themselves are spacious and beautifully designed. I love the colour scheme used in the apartment throughout the dark green and black feels really modern. The furniture is stylish yet comfortable and I really like how the sofa can turn into a bed as well.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is perfect, with everything you need just a short walk away. Given there is a bar right underneath the apartment. It would be great if noise levels would be kept down during working hours. Especially on a Friday for residents working from home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I raised an issue with one of my light bulbs going out in my living room casually on my way into the apartment. It was near the end of the day but the team were able to respond quickly and fixed the issue in under 15 minutes. Really helpful and responsive!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The staff can speak multiple languages so being able to converse and relay my thoughts to the staff in my native language makes me feel so comfortable.

There’s a brilliant mix of cafés, restaurants, and shops all close by, making everyday errands and dining out super convenient. It’s only a short walk into the city centre, so you really have everything you need right on your doorstep. I love living in this area – not only is it lively and well-connected, but it’s also just a few minutes from my workplace, which makes my daily routine so much easier And I had such a great time at the Christmas party , so many fun memories at The James!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve lived at The James for nearly 1 year and absolutely love it. The building itself is stunning. It feels modern, calm, and really well looked after. The team are so lovely and friendly, and they always go out of their way to help!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Haven't had many issues since moving in but when I had an issue with my heaters, Yolanda and was quick to come round and repair it no issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing, I was told everything I needed to know about living here and other questions can be answered when I moved in

The location is fantastic, with a mix of trendy bars, great restaurants, and all the essentials within reach. Public transport is frequent and reliable, making it easy to get around.

Quickly resolved in 2hours or 1day max from notice.

People show a varying degree of care or effort towards a bin store.

The management team is very responsive, ensuring that any maintenance issues are addressed promptly. Communal spaces are kept clean, and security measures are in place, which adds to the sense of safety. The design of the apartments is stylish and practical, providing a good living environment. Overall, the property is managed to a high standard, creating a hassle-free experience for residents.

The staff are really helpful. I've loved my 6 months here but am moving for Uni in Birmingham. The area has great shops, restaurants, and bars, with good transport links. Bin collections are reliable. Overall, a well-connected and vibrant place to live!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team is very professional and responsive. Any issues raised, whether regarding repairs or general maintenance, are dealt with efficiently. Staff are friendly and always happy to help, making the renting experience smooth and enjoyable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s worth knowing that parking can be limited during peak hours, so if you have a car, it’s best to check for available options in advance. Also, the area is lively, which is great for convenience but can be a bit busy during weekends
