Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great in general for local shops as there are small corner shops less than a minute walk away and a big Aldi for big shops 5 minutes away. There are also a lot of local businesses very close to the building as well as large areas of grass / benches to sit and relax in. Transport is great as there is a train station 5 minutes away and a tram stop 3 minutes away as well as multiple bus stops around the area. Parking is almost always available, and the noise from cars is never heard despite being very close to a main road. The bins are emptied regularly so I always have space to dispose of my rubbish and there is no antisocial behaviour in this area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has responded within the same day or the day after depending on the time the concern was raised. Maintenance issues are typically fixed within 1-2 days and other issues are usually resolved within 1-3 days.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before moving in I wish I knew there was 24/7 night staff who are friendly and will always welcome you home after coming back from a night out.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I like the location, it's near to Piccadilly train station which is handy for me commuting. It can be a little noisy at night due to this though. We're near to many shops including an Aldi which is perfect!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management were a little slow at sorting one of our requests, however, when they got back to us they gave a sound solution

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We’ve recently moved to Ancoats/East Piccadilly from the City Centre where we were of course in the middle hub of everything. It was important for us, as we don’t have a vehicle, to be able to have easy access to transport. We found the perfect location. Mere steps away from a tram stop and a few streets from Piccadilly Station. Plenty of bus routes too. Plus abundant foodie choices and bars/pubs. We had previously lived on a terribly noisy square, which affected our sleep and prompted our move. Since moving we have had nothing but quiet, uninterrupted sleep since moving into our flat at The Castings. Bliss.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We found one issue upon move in which was an unpainted area on the ceiling, which maintenance came and took care of in 2 days. Amazing.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The on-site trolleys could be a bit larger for moving in and out. This is really a petty thing to moan about, but is actually helpful for moving.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall pretty good, the location is just slightly far away from main shops / restaurants compared to other places we’ve lived, however the over all area is nice enough and close enough to what we need.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve touched on this above but we had an issue with our washing machine destroying our clothes and this was followed up a couple of days later with a phone call but as Harry wasn’t by his phone we missed the call and as there was no message, he assumed it was simply a scam call and after then following up on the Loft App, there’s been nothing further.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think I knew everything I needed to before we moved in, as we were very thorough with our initial building tour. There’s not been any bad/good surprises we just knew what we were getting and we do overall really like the building and as mentioned earlier the receptionist team are great.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect spot in town in my opinion. The location is right near Piccadilly station and New Islington tram stop. It’s only a 5 min walk into the centre of Ancoats. The resident team are also amazing, Roshni and Andrea have been amazing from move in to helping out with day to day queries. They are always so welcoming and help create a sense of community in the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues are almost always dealt with on the same day.

We pretty much knew what we were getting once we viewed.
