The first thing that always strikes me about Vita-Ruskin Square every time I return home is how aesthetically pleasing it is. The architecture is very easy on the eye and gives a very modern, luxurious feel.
The building has a communal roof terrace with great views towards London, and the site, for the most part, is kept very clean.
Apartments are spacious, light, and airy and there have been a lot of considerations made for the comfort of residents during the construction.
The fob entry system throughout the complex is also extremely secure.

It helps massively that the development is situated literally on top of East Croydon Station. The stairs to the station are 10m from the front door. The station is so well connected, serving London Bridge in 12 mins, Victoria in 16, Farringdon/City Thameslink/St Pancras in 20-25 mins, Gatwick in 15 mins, and the majority of the South Coast/ North London peripheries directly.

There is clearly a lot of money being pumped into the area at the moment, as it is undergoing a great transition and there are new developments/eateries popping up left, right and centre.

Boxpark is a great place to go for some food or drinks, however the entire surrounding area has many restaurants and bars. It is also a massive bonus to have two decently sized shopping centres within a 10 minute walk.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building management isn’t great…

There isn’t a great deal of order with packages that are delivered at the weekend, and midweek performance is inconsistent.

Also seems to take quite a while to get requests processed with the building management company.

Quality apartments in great location

Verified Resident

Review Date Sep 2019

Spacious apartments finished to an excellent standard, with amazing sound proofing considering the abundance of trains passing through East Croydon station. The apartment is flooded with natural light, with the addition of a great sized balcony overlooking the gardens. The communal areas (gardens, roof terrace) are a nice addition though upkeep could be improved. Building management, though present lack haste when responding to requests/issues. The building is in a great location in terms of reaching all the local amenities of Croydon, Central London and Gatwick Airport.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Local area is in a stage of major redevelopment – lots of new openings popping up
Great transport links

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Building management can be lax

VITA Apartments is amazing

Vita apartments is amazing. The apartments are spacious with lots of natural light and large balcony. We have a large communal garden on the ground floor and also a roof garden with amazing views and garden furniture. The fittings and fixtures are high spec, underfloor heating and effeciant services keeping bills low. There is pre wired broadband for easy set up and the building has amazing security. I don’t have a bad word to say about it.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love Croydon, there’s lots going on and it is very up and coming. The transport links are incredible, and I love the vibrant culture.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The key to the post box is stiff. And getting parcels would be impossible if it wasn’t for our wonderful building manager

Good. Not great.

It’s great location but RMG are awful. And overrated. Overall it ticks most boxes but could be a lot better. Flats have several snags and lots of issues with general security and no other facilities on site despite space for these. If they delivered beloved more communal space inside they would help the general feel for the building.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Can be busy.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That RMG were this bad.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The building management are just too bad at their job

Good location

Flat is great, good layout. It’s a new build so nicely designed and a modern feel. It’s quite spacious. Roof garden for all the residents that is nice and big. Unused first floor that could be used for a gym or other facility that is lying dormant.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lack of things to do
Great transport links to central london and Brighton
Not enough independent shops and restaurants

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

RMG not the best management company – uninvolved with tenants and don’t respond to queries or complaints. Also question marks over where our service charge goes.

Like: location, neighbours are friendly. It came unfurnished and the fittings are really high spec
Dislike: trains are really loud and some people play loud music. The gardens aren’t always well kept either

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Sense of community and lots going on in the area but teenagers can be troublesome

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just how loud the trains are but tbh you get used to it!

Poor management

The flats are a nice size with a great layout, there are a lots of amenities, including: balcony and roof garden. The only negatives is that the management is slow to react when you flag anything up. I would say it’s very poorly managed.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Easy access to train and very good food options. Although apart from that you are pretty far away from everything… pubs and bars etc.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That is was poorly managed.

Building is brand new so is excellent in terms of quality. Could be be managedslightly better – takes a long time to get things done sometimes. We have a caretaker who is lovely and very reliable (parcels etc) overall lovely building, excellent facilities including roof garden and links into London.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Local area is up and coming. Excellent transport links to central London (12 mins). Lovely spread of shops and local amenities.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking can be difficult but it is available if you look in the right places.
