Rayners Green is a joint venture development by Hill and Scotsdale Garden Centre. Rayners Green offers two, three and four bedroom houses in the thriving village of Fordham. The development is almost complete and we are very happy with the area and appearance. Area is kept really well and the community is very friendly. Now the shop is open this adds to all the benefits of the development. The shop was a long time coming, but worth the wait

Very welcoming village with everything you need, can’t see us leaving now we have moved here. It’s just what we want

That make sure you register and use the warranty on appliances

The garden is really good for a new build and lots of space

Property management is very good, minor issues were addresed very quickly and effieciently. Overall very happy with the house. The house has been built to high standard. The layout is very well thought through. Good amount of storage for a new build house.

Good range of shops (Morrisons on site and Coop in the village) Quite area not a lot of traffic or noise

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The road have still not be laid which might cause damage so cars if not driven carefully

What is the best feature of your home:

Use of space, good amount of storage for a new build house.

All in all not bad but could be better

The development is reasonably well thought out, houses aren’t all on top of each other. The houses are well built and we haven’t had many problems. The road however is not great, and it needs a lot of work to get it into looking nice and to stop ruining the suspension on your car

Great location and amenities, Fordham is a lovely village with lots of local shops, you wouldn’t actually need to drive anywhere if you didn’t want to

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Check out the garden layout as the work on this was done quickly and not up to standard of what you would expect

What is the best feature of your home:

I be love the kitchen and living room layout and the bedrooms are all a great size

The design and layout of the development is very aesthetically pleasing. In comparison to many modern new build sites it is very well spaced out and pleasing to the eye. Some new builds feel very “squeezed in”. Also the open areas around the development are well maintained and planted with various trees/plants.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The village has all the local shops, pubs, hairdressers etc you would need. Hill has also added a retail space on the entrance to the site that opens shortly, providing even better availability for those living in Rayners green.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wouldn’t change anything after moving in, very happy with our home.

What is the best feature of your home:

The garden size is very good for a new build, plenty of room for various garden designs.

Houses designed well, space is well used could do with slightly better configuration of the hall so more storage could be added. Hill have currently sorted out most of teething issues. Road outside could be a lot tidier as it’s visually quite messy as well as very uneven after building trucks were back and forth. Overall happy!

Lots of nice local shops and businesses and local amenities, lovely walls. Road could do with tidying up where the builders trucks have damaged and it hasn’t been quite finished off. Looking forward to the local shop opening

Gardens need a lot of work to get to a useable space, rushed and very boggy or in places full of rubble

What is the best feature of your home:

Spacious and energy saving, lots of kitchen space and cupboards
