Fantastic setting which requires better amenities.

Lubbesthorpe is a lovely setting. Countryside on your doorstep but still close to towns and cities. It’s proximity to Fosse Park is fantastic. However, there needs to be some careful planning in the next few years on local amenities. Shops and eateries are a must if they want people to stay / buy in the area.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development has good access to main routes and the motorway. There are some parks open for the local children and one primary school. However, there are currently no local shops or eateries. We were told there would be a pub eventually however this has now been changed to a Care home. Not great considering the majority of the residence are young families. There needs to be more amenities built in the future.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How small the garden is and how poor the quality of the turf is. Terrible quality and now needs completely ripping up after only two years.

What is the best feature of your home:

Location of the building on the development and it’s large driveway.

Aesthetically pleasing. Development needed

Aesthetically pleasing when driving / walking through the site with a safe feel. The area has some nice walks and views. Good local parks but not always maintained The site could benefit from my rubbish bins and lighting. Good community spirit (eg local markets)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No local shops or restaurants. This was promised when we first moved in. We have now been here 2 years. Good access to motorway

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Development plans not being fully carried out i.e no local shops

What is the best feature of your home:

Location in this area. Close to motorway and city center

Lovely development close to shops and motorway

The houses look beautiful. All designs, Georgian or Morden designs. You can choose from bungalows, townhouse or flats. The developers seem good and management is ok. Only thing is management fees go up every month and sometimes it feels like upkeep work is not up to scratch.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The best thing about this development is how close it is to shops, amenities and the motorway. If you work outside Leicester it literally takes 6 minutes to join motorway.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It took a long time for address to show up in websites which made ordering anything a nightmare first few weeks.

What is the best feature of your home:

The lovely green area at the front of the house and parking at the back.

Barratt home review - The development is gorgeous

The development is gorgeous. Lots of local activities and facilities. The spaces are well kept, there are two parks and a community hub which offers a monthly market, weekly activities and lots of things for the children to do. Lots of areas to walk the dog too.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops have been promised to be built soon. This would add great value and convenience. Hopefully they will come soon.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The amount of speed bumps, parking facilities and lack of local shops at present

What is the best feature of your home:

The location and design - very spacious. Lots of areas to walk the dog

Great place to live, once issues ironed out

Review is detailed in the above. Lubbesthorpe is a great place to live with a growing community. The points detailed are relatively minor and will be addressed as construction continues. Thoroughly look forward to seeing the development once the next stages have been completed with infrastructure such as shops etc and increased parking. The location is perfect for getting into Leicester and also mortowau access.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No shops/pub/doctors built yet after being alluded to by developers - have been here 3 and half years. Excessive speed bumps on Tay Road, could reduce number of them. Development itself looks great and green spaces preserved/landscapes. Parking is a huge issue at school times - Teviot Drive is not wide enough to accommodate cars parked on the side, however as opposite school this is frequently used. Location is great. No issues with quality of build. Look forward to seeing the finished development once construction is done.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing springs to mind. If you are looking to buy make sure you have enough parking spaces as occasionally people park on the pavement / grass verges

What is the best feature of your home:

Large bedrooms and lounge. The quality of build was excellent
