Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bad-houses built to fast meaning issues. The pipe work for the down stairs is terrible. Constantly blocked. The cracks are all showing after 7months. The gardens are sloped and full of leather jackets due to no treatment. Parking is extremely tight on our drive way. Had issues from day one of being here. The lane to Bitham park is messy. And dangerous Good-we have a 4 bed that’s it really

I’d like to have known we would have issues with the loo. Be aware of rubbish parking. It’s all round the estate. And expect a rubbish dead back garden.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Plenty of restaurants/take aways in town and sufficient amenities for shopping and healthcare within walking distance. Being on the outskirts of town there is plenty of open space to explore. Traffic noise is minimal despite being near the main road, but there is insufficient visitor parking on the development and bin collection points have not been finished as per the plan.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish we had known beforehand how poor the after sales care is and that the snagging issues would not be addressed. Also that the soil quality is so poor that every house on the development had problems with their gardens.

For a good sized 4 bed house, the garden is very small and the quality of the garden/landscaping was very poor, requiring significant expensive remedial work.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a local large store and a Tesco Express very close by. You have the White Horse Country Park where you can go for a drink or bite to eat. There is a lovely primary school close by where my daughters attending many years ago. You have the railway station which is not too far away where you can easily access London in very little time. You have parking for 2 cars, have not experienced anti-social behaviour so far and you do not hear traffic noise or the railway running close by.

A rear access by erecting a gate on the opposite side from the shared access.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Speed zone right as you enter our estate needs to be addressed. It’s currently a 50mph before you turn off to enter. Bin collections are fine. We love our street as it’s free of heavy parking and traffic all though the road outside our home isn’t tarmaced even though our side of the estate has been finished for over 9 months.

Address snags on home demo and don’t be so timid and naive that the site manager will notice and document all the snags and fix them without a nudge.

We love our home model, maybe a bigger garden but know that’s a rarity with new build homes.
