Milard Grange, LU5 Reviews
Write a Review Upload PhotosMilard grange developer and development review – Very aesthetically pleasing.
Design of house types are classic with lots of greenery. Very aesthetically pleasing.
Management fees are high and was tricked into this at point of sale (the builder withheld information). Developer (countryside properties) have the worst customer service and are not willing to help fix issues.
Luckily no major issues and house was built to a good standard although I do know neighbours who have had serious issues with their plots.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Poor public transport links , walkable to shops but pathways are dangerous. This should have been considered and factored in to the development.
Quiet , scenic , spacious estate. Good plot types.
Parking is good.
Largest house type has the worst plot size in terms of drive and gardens , doesn’t make sense…

Lovely estate. Few teething issues which hopefully will be resolved shortly as more people move in.
I recemend the estate but select your builder with caution.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
It was HELL fighting this developer to get issues fixed thet needed to be fixed. Luckily they were minor but still unacceptable we was left in such a situation.
Overall a very good development site, glad I moved here to put down some roots and build a life here
The development site is really well designed, the development park is good as well although more swings in the park would have been good as it is a big development site, countryside have managed the buildings well so far, the one thing I would like to see improved would be the management company to take the management of the site more seriously with maintaining the landscape more often.

The open spaces around the development is really good, public transport via bus is also very good, Bon collections and parking areas are also excellent. We don’t get much traffic noice at present, there has not been much antisocial behaviour of note to me.
We could do with more shops like local convenience stores and restaurants/ cafes in the area as this is still lacking

This is a very good development site I would definitely recommend moving here. I think once the proposed school comes in the area and more shops and restaurants/ cafes come into the area this area will be even better.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Countryside have always responded to us when ever we have raised an issue and they have always sorted the issues out.

That could be my dream home but countryside destroyed everything
The countryside is probably one of the worse developers in this area after 18 months part of the road is still not finished. At the front of my house is a little swampy with stinky water and all my attempts to try find out of when this issue will be solved is ignored by management.

I leave here one and half years and still, there is not even one shop or restaurant a part of one lovely bar and dominos pizza. Maine Park is still not finished.

Make sure everything is perfect before you move in because a soon as you pay for your property they will stop care of you
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We still have some issue that needs to be fixed but I will probably pay someone to fix , them before ask them to do it for me because they are not reliable

Great community and we love living here
I love the overall design of the estate it really feels like a great community and the different designs incorporated make it feel more established. I think the property management could be better – there is a need for more frequent management particularly for the roads and open green spaces. the facilities are great although it took a while for the parks etc to be opened

Range of shops and restaurants locally is great and the location is great for commuting. The local bus routes seem are lacking slightly there is a bus available to get to main towns but the schedule is not as often as we would like. Our street is great to live on, great community.

Wish I’d known about the water works nearby have some smelly days (although thankfully not often at all). I love the community here though the neighbours are all very friendly and I’ve made loads of friends here.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have struggled to get minor fixes completed which is a shame.

Beautiful development
We had a few issues with our property at first but resolved very quickly. It is sometimes quite difficult to get through to customer services but anything urgent is resolved quite quickly. The design of our house is beautiful hence why we chose it, very airy and love the kitchen diner.

This new local area is beautiful and has a very nice community feeling, the landscaping is nice to look at and the public transport links are good via bus or the closes station is leagrave. Bin collections are timely and we have a great service that come and clean them too! There’s no traffic on the road we live on hence why we chose it and facing the forest, there’s no road, just the sound of birds! No anti social behaviour but the area is known to have the motor cycle junkies go through it which can be annoying. At present, there’s a lovely coffee shop on the development with amazing food (halal too) and a domino’s. The shops and nursery have been delayed opening but they’re on track. Lovely area, only thing I would say as a negative is the Childrens parks are a bit small.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Wish we had known that there was bike track as that noise can be quite annoying
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes all resolved, at the beginning we were sent emails to confirm work had been completed which was reassuring but in the end all was resolved

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
