Our concierge, Karolina, consistently goes beyond what I perceive to be her contracted duties to help in any way she can but in a professional manner. This includes building maintenance (e.g. cleaning, painting, ensuring the bins are in order) but also her kindness (e.g. I recently had COVD and Karolina made an effort to check in on me, ensure I had everything I needed and even bring my parcels to the door - this is not a "one-off" based on discussion with neighbours and my own previous experiences). Karolina is friendly, approachable and has the ability to always put a smile on everyones face. The building looks great as does my apartment. A key design feature I appreciate is the fact that you need a fob specific to your floor to access your apartment, reducing the risk of any tailgaters gaining access to apartments, and helping me feel safe. A slight frustration is the boiler temperature which doesn't increase over 50 degrees (are thereabouts), however, since the increase in energy prices it has become evident that as well as a safety feature this contributes to saving energy so I can't really complain.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Excellent location in the centre of Manchester. My apartment faces the front but there is never too much noise. Great transport links with Piccadilly and Oxford road stations 10 minute walk and Victoria station a 15 minute walk. Buses and trams are approx 2 mins away. Sainsbury's is a 1 minute walk away and Piccadilly Gardens is approx. 5 minutes walk.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, great response to snags over the initial two years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that lockdown was about to start before I moved in which obviously wasn't ideal. I live on the front of the property meaning there are no balcony's - whilst not normally an issue it was noted during lockdown!

When I first moved in, the property didn't bring a great experience as there was no permanent staff in post. It was also difficult to find the right person to deal with when I needed to repair my flat. But recently this problem has been solved. Other flat facilities. Overall not bad, but the expensive rent does not come with amenities like a gym, which makes it less convenient for me.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great, right next to Chinatown. It is also only a 10 minute walk to train station and a 20 minute walk to Manchester University. There are many supermarkets and restaurants around, most of which are very good. It is also very convenient to order takeaway. Overall a good experience.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They get in touch with me via email/phone and other social software, which is great. But overall efficiency was average.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I have to say, especially in this street at the back of the flat, the noise was a bit loud and even woke me up when I was asleep.

I think it is possible to add some facilities such as study and work rooms or a small movie theatre to the side or in the building, which will make our apartment more interesting. The reception is really nice and she takes the responsibility of everything. She is really helpful so there is nothing change

Business facilities: next to the office building. And it has a beautiful environment, pleasant air. Manhattan building is also close to the city center so you can go to relax at any time;There are banks nearby and it's easy to eat and play in Chinatown. It’s really nice

They are working on it. And giving me some locations nearby that I can go

Property management please continue with the current standard, it is excellent and I really like the current front office management. As for the facilities, the public areas of Manhattan I think are more than adequate! Perhaps a little more festive atmosphere could be added for the holiday season.

Very good location with good facilities around. Convenient for shopping. Good restaurants around. The flat is safe and the quality of the residents is high.The common areas are very neat and clean

The apartment has 6 floors, I live on the 2nd floor. Every morning the sun shines directly on my living room from the floor-to-ceiling windows, which makes me feel happy. There is an electronic security door at the gate, which requires an electronic key to enter, and Karolina, the administrator of the apartment, will serve us in the lobby during working hours. Have to say she is absolutely perfect, she keeps the apartment clean and tidy, collects packages for us and takes care of everything. Because I am still a college student, this is my first time renting a house outside, and there are many things I don’t understand, such as how to pay for water and electricity. Karolina is very patient and responsible, she can solve a problem for me.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The apartment is located in China Town, surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets and bars, life is very convenient. Public transportation resources are also well developed, 2 minutes walk to the bus, 13 minutes to the train station. The G floor is the garbage area and the parking area. Although I don’t have a car, I think this design is perfect.

Karolina is very patient and responsible, she can solve all the problem for me.
