Walkable distance to anywhere, anything you might need is just a few minutes away and the bus and tram stops are 5 minutes away. The street is quiet and residential, near to a fire station and schools but that’s the most noise you’ll get.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They always promptly responded and always showed up with a solution to all issues.

Nothing really. Everything was exactly the way I had expected.

The surrounding area offers a wide selection of local amenities, including grocery stores, restaurants, takeaways and coffee shops. Public transport is easily accessible, making travel around Edinburgh straightforward. The neighbourhood is generally pleasant and convenient for students. At busy times there can be some traffic and noise, particularly during weekends or university term periods. Parking may also be limited for those who drive. However, the benefits of the location outweigh these minor inconveniences.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Whenever I have contacted the management team, they have been courteous and willing to help. Requests and enquiries have usually received a response within a reasonable period, and staff have made efforts to keep residents informed about any ongoing issues or planned works.

Before moving in, I did not realise how useful it would be to explore the local area as early as possible. There are many convenient facilities nearby that make everyday life easier. I would also suggest familiarising yourself with the residence’s communication channels and maintenance reporting system from the start, as this helps ensure that any concerns can be addressed efficiently.

The local area is very convenient for students, with a good range of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and other essential shops nearby. There are also several green spaces and places to relax within walking distance. Public transport links are excellent, with regular bus services providing easy access to the city centre and other parts of Edinburgh. The area generally feels safe and well maintained. Parking can sometimes be limited, and there may be occasional traffic or student-related noise during busy periods. However, these issues are relatively minor compared with the overall convenience of the location.

The building management team has generally responded professionally and helpfully whenever I have raised an issue. Communication has been clear, and maintenance requests have usually been acknowledged and resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Staff have been approachable and willing to assist when needed.

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how convenient the location really is for students. Most daily necessities, including supermarkets, restaurants and public transport, are within easy walking distance. I would also recommend reporting any maintenance issues as soon as possible and keeping an eye on resident emails, as this helps ensure that important updates are not missed. Getting to know your flatmates and the local area early on can also make settling in much easier.

Parking can sometimes be limited during busy periods, and there is occasional traffic noise on main roads. Bin collections are usually consistent, although they can occasionally be delayed. Anti-social behaviour is rare and does not significantly affect the neighbourhood.

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how important it is to familiarise yourself with the building’s maintenance reporting process and resident communications from the beginning. Keeping an eye on emails and notices makes it much easier to stay informed about inspections, maintenance works and community updates. I would also recommend getting to know the local shops, transport links and facilities early on, as they make day-to-day life much more convenient. Overall, the development has been a comfortable place to live, and settling in became much easier once I became familiar with the available services and facilities.

Great area, parking 95% of the time available. Transport is great as were located right next to leith.

Yes and always fast. Also really friendly and professional at all times.

The bills are exceptionally expensive compared to the average. I wish that was expressed more as there’s no freedom to switch to another supplier.
