Great Location Undermined by Unsafe and Neglected Living Conditions

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Location is good, close to public transport links, local shops, cinema, and lots of options for open space close by.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The on-site building management team do their best and are generally responsive within their limited capacity, but they are clearly overstretched and not supported by senior decision-makers. While they often have to deal with the aftermath of serious issues - such as cleaning up after rough sleepers or reporting damage - they lack the authority or resources to make lasting improvements. Unfortunately, the wider property management company has been largely unresponsive to residents’ concerns. Requests for better security, improved hygiene, and overall building safety are often acknowledged but not acted upon, leaving residents feeling ignored and unsafe.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how poorly managed the building is behind the scenes. From the outside, the location and facilities seem ideal, but the reality of living here is very different. I wasn’t aware of the serious security issues, the frequent anti-social behaviour, or the lack of meaningful support from the landlords and property managers. Had I known how often communal areas are misused and how little is done in response, I would have seriously reconsidered moving in.

Good apartment shame there is no parking

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There is a Tesco right outside which is helpful for any fast shopping and it's decent large, there is a big mall a couple mins walk from the apartment which has good food places and decent retailers such as handm primark and some high end stores as well. The bad aspects are all the clubs and pubs are on the street over so a lot of drunken antics on the weekend, police activity and fights, but the apartment is good at keeping the noise out and during the day it is fine. Bin rooms get really over filled sometimes as everyone has to use one room. And there is no parking so you will have to pay at a local car park around £4.50 to £6/day
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes I had a problem with the bath room once and they answered me same day and sent a guy to fix it next day.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
No parking they were not really very clear about it when we asked, and the price of running the boiler here as it is very inefficient and if left all day will leave you with a nice £300 bill that month

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is excellent, being close to the city centre with easy access to the bus station and train station when needed. There are plenty of local shops, restaurants, bars, and open spaces nearby, making it a very convenient place to live. Transport links are reliable and make getting around simple. Living on the street is generally quiet and pleasant. However, parking can be an issue at times, as there isn’t always enough space for all tenants, and some people do struggle to find parking. Bin collections are regular and there are no major issues with anti-social behaviour or traffic noise.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been responsive and helpful, addressing any issues raised quickly and professionally.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the car park is only for ground floor tenants

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is amazing, it’s right in the centre and has all kinds of restaurants within a 10 minute radius. There is a bus stop right next to the building which makes it quite convenient when planning my travels.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I lodged a complaint regarding the blinds which I accidentally broke, they management was quick to respond and fix the issue.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew it sometimes gets noisy on weekend nights as there is a club right around the corner.
